Since you're so on top of correcting other's grammar imperfections I'd like to give you a helping hand as well. It's "that's what I'VE been saying" You said "that's what I would have been saying", incorrect.
I don't see Locker, Gabbert, or Ponder in Blake. He looks to me like he's out the Steve McNair, McNabb, Big Ben, Cam, and Luck group. He has all the tools, an elite skill set, on and off field intelligence, and size (he can easily add another 10-15 lbs to his frame over the next few years) and his arm can get stronger with work on his mechanics. I've watched football for more than just the past 5-6 years so I never have a problem with a rookie quarterback sitting on the bench his 1st year regardless of where he is drafted. The Jags are probably hoping the Texans draft Clowney. And check out what they say about Teddy in the article as well. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-s...-bradley-had-to-shake-his-hand-233339372.html
Could you please elaborate on how you've come to this conclusion. I just need further explanation on what all the "tools" and "elite skillset" you're referring to.
The contrary an investor in me is screaming that the fact that fans are so united in their hatred of Bortles means that he is probably a pretty good pick a la Robert Horry/Harold Miner.
don't get caught up in what endoftheworld, cstyle, fulgore, et all think about Bortles. They're Bridgewater fanboys and don't represent the masses. I suspect they're still chafed after Bortles was named the AAC first team QB and Bridgewater wasn't. And then the whole thing about how UCF beat Louisville...among other reasons...
You said Teddy plays in a weak conference yet you gloat about Bortles being named first team all conference. In three years we will see who's doing the laughing.
With the #1 pick in the draft coming off a 2-14 season with a boatload of holes to fill, Texans don't need Robert Horry. They need Hakeem Olajuwon! None of the QBs being discussed are even worthy of that comparison. Unless the concerns about him are legit red flags that make him radioactive, Texans have to take Clowney. What he can do for their defense blows away all 3 of these pedestrian QBs. Best case is they trade down and get two 1st-rounders in return.
To some, I'm sure it does. Some think that when a team wins the SB it automatically means their QB is awesome.
LOL ___________________ Media struck out on Mallett, struck out on Cassel, will they strike out on Bortles?
there you have it, folks. Apparently Bortles isn't worth the #1 pick in the draft, so everybody should just go to bed right now.
I haven't really kept up with the draft news. What's the reason why everyone has the Texans picking Bortles? Did the Texans leak anything or is it pure speculation? And if it is pure speculation, how in the world is everyone doing it?
He has the most promising tools. And there's a tiny, tiny, tiny connection to O'Brien. That's about it. He's JaMarcus Russel'd his way up the board. He's not actually a very good player right now. But who knows, he's tall, maybe someday.
