Exactly. I'm a little excited about it, but sort of like I am for the launch of a new console...3-4 years before launch. Maybe even less than that since this is a new thing (well, as a mass-market consumer device), and who knows how well it will really work.

It is interesting because it will kind of flip game development rendering priorities on its head. Right now, we have an emphasis on pretty visuals at the cost of resolution and framerate. With VR, resolution and framerate (especially framerate) will be the focus, while pretty visuals will take a backseat. It will be kind of interesting to see how developers respond to this. Though in the meantime, I expect most developers will focus on traditional designs, while maybe indie devs will maybe focus on VR. As it is, it will be difficult to VRify traditional games, so you'll probably see a split in how games are developed (i.e., might be difficult to have Battlefield 5 on PS4/XBO/PC and a VR version of BF5).

Here's an article from DF about VR:
    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2014-project-morpheus-spec-analysis
It kind of touches on some of these things. Good read I think. :)

    OK, other bits of news:
    http://www.gamespot.com/articles/lo...ree-to-play-business-is-booming/1100-6418437/
F2P is doing well on PS4. Go play Warframe guys! :)

    http://blogs.wsj.com/digits/2014/03/20/sony-ps4-demand-will-outstrip-supply-into-the-summer/
Sony says demand for PS4 will outstrip supply going into the summer. I think they're starting to get to that point in a lot of places now, but I guess worldwide, that might be true.

Haha sounds good. I'll look into it. I surely don't have friends either.

Amazon just matched Walmarts price of $449 for the Titanfail Xbone bundle. Good price for anyone wanted TF and a XB1. Use code XIAMAZON.

Not a complete analysis, but DF has some details on Infamous:
    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2014-infamous-second-son-performance-analysis
Mostly about performance. Basically stays at or above 30 FPS nearly all the time, though they comment that it probably should be locked at 30 FPS (since it doesn't get high above 30 FPS enough to justify keeping it unlocked). It isn't a big deal, but since KZ put it in, they're thinking it would be a nice (and easy) addition to the game. Along with that, the game looks great of course (great IQ). I've played it a bit yesterday, and I have to agree. The gameplay wasn't quite as solid IMO (though I just got to the point of it opening up, and now it feels like previous Infamous games).

MS playing up a major XBO exclusive for Japan. Previous rumors speculated that Platinum Games was working on something, and this might be that. Or possibly something else. Who knows? :)

I thought all PS4 games are supposed to be 1080p, 60FPS....because...you know...it is SO POWERFUL? :p;)

Yeah, it also has failure rates of well over 1%.

...Oh wait, I forgot, you made that up.

Find me where anyone said they expect all PS4 games to run at that framerate/resolution (I certainly never said anything of the kind). All anyone ever said is that the PS4 has so far managed to outperform the XB1 in these graphical aspects, which is true.

Seriously, for someone who fools himself into thinking he's objective, you never pass up making snarky comments about the PS4, and/or misrepresenting what other people have said about it.

Never said I was Objective.....I said I don't hate the PS4, but Im not a fan of Sony as a whole (even though I own some of their products).

Just ignore him as he's an Xbox fanboy. He'll never criticize Xbox's faults, no matter how fair it is, and will always magnify any disadvantage of the competition as if it's a deal breaker.

Oh, I will be hard on the XB1 faults. The missing features from the 360 should not have happened. MS should have been ready with their software and drivers. They should have launched at $400 with Kinect. Netflix shouldn't be behind a paywall. They should have included a 1TB hard drive and external support should have been here already. The ****ing Box itself is TOO BIG. I travel, it should have been the same size as the 360 Slim. They should have added more to the controller.

    How's that?

They'll definitely redesign the console to make it smaller later in the life cycle .

Feeling nostalgic. Back then there was was Mario and Sonic. Who would be this generations cover boys? I absolutely cannot think of any. Maybe Mario but the Wii is out of it.
