comparisons dont have to be literal.. someone can see some of a great qbs game in a prospect doesnt mean that said prospects career will pan out to the qb hes compared to.. you could see some of a mediocre qbs game as well, doesnt mean they will follow the same path.. bobby gets so upset about this.. russell wilson is his ceiling... ok whatever you say guy, your opinion is fact after all.. you pretty much do 2 things here... dıck ride clowney and shıt on bridgewater.. oops, 3 things. correct peoples spelling/typos..

The reason people keep throwing the ridiculous Aaron Rodgers or Joe Montana comparisons out there is because they want to sell Bridgewater as a prospect that has that kind of upside so they are meaning it literally. I'll be glad when the draft happens so we can stop having to hear about mediocre QB prospects and how they compare to the greatest QB's to ever play the game.

This is nonsense. Because no matter where he's drafted, he'll be playing against the same NFL competition.

So if you don't like him why draft him at all?

LOL. He dropped like a rock in that draft after his pro day. Also the Packers spent years re-working his mechanics after he was drafted. Its one of the reasons he sat for a bit. TRY AGAIN.

Rodgers still had a good pro day though. I think he dropped because there weren't a bunch of quarterback thirsty teams in that draft (compared to a draft like the one coming up). I wonder how Smith and Rodgers careers would be going if the roles where reversed and Smith had McCarthy, Favre to learn under, and that receiving core to throw to and Rodgers had what Smith had to work with in San Francisco.

Coaching is very important in the NFL.

Based on all the media chatter, it doesn't look very likely that Bridge is the pick. Won't know until draft day, though, but it's looking like the Texans are planning to draft Bortles and probably let him hold a clipboard for a year.

Can not even begin to tell you how disappointed I'd be if they drafted Blake Bortles.

Whoever the Texans drafts I hope succeeds and helps the team turn it around... but hopefully whoever they do pass on (eg Bridgewater, who I still think they should draft at 1:1) doesn't blossom into that next big thing. For once I'd like to see the Texans be that team that gets the next big thing...

I'd be disappointed if they passed up any of the several position players who are loads better than any of the QBs at the top of this draft.

This is where I think I've landed. Hopefully those making the decision will make the right call.

well... you're going to be disappointed because the Texans are 100% drafting a QB.

I'm all out of hope with this team, they have messed it up too many times.

I doubt Bridgewater is the first pick now. I am starting to think it is not going to be a QB. Probably not Clowney either. Really no clear favorite at this point. Perhaps one will emerge.

With the first pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans select: no one.

St. Louis is on the clock.
