It's over. Andrew Bynum will be out indefinitely due to continued soreness and swelling in his right knee, the Indiana Pacers announced Friday on Twitter. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/10648837/indiana-pacers-andrew-bynum-indefinitely-due-knees Lock if already posted
Regardless of what you think of him personally, his injury is bad for basketball. He was one of the last traditional 2-way centers in the nba. He had a beautiful post up game and could defend and block shots.

I'm shocked, SHOCKED, I tell you! His injury isn't even news. It was a foregone conclusion when the season started. Bynum is and has been irrelevant to NBA basketball for years now, except as a sideshow. It sucks that a potentially great career was sidelined early by injury, but it was. Basketball is surviving just fine. What do they say -- the cemetary is full of indispensable people.
There's no point to his talent because he was lazy and didn't even have passion for B-Ball in the first place. He got injured before he could even accomplish anything, tbh I feel more loss for Greg Oden, Yao Ming and Brandon Roy since those guys actually wanted to play bball.
That's because you along with most fans share some personal attachment to these players you don't know. I was speaking specifically about the loss of low post 2-way centers. As irrelevant as Bynum may be he was one of the few that had the skills to score in the low post and defend the paint. Yao was a huge loss to basketball for this same reason. Greg Oden was another Dwight Howard type, very mechanical.
Mark Gasol and Demarcus Cousins are 2-way centers every bit as good as Bynum. And there's also Drummind. It sucks he got injured, but let's not say he represents a dying breed...wee bit too over dramatic for me. Even without developing a bum knee, he lacks the motivation to be a great at anything Oh and Why not mention Bogut too
I am so shocked...that it took that long! Pacers should be very happy with the few freebie games out of him.
Andrew Bynum is one of the most immature characters in the NBA. He has not grown up over all these years.
