I like how Jeremy Lin is making an impact on the Houston community while he plays for the Rockets.

Great so he has created "The Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good and Wanna Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too". He's going to love basing it in Canada when we trade him for Lowry.

Well... not everybody went to Harvard.

I think it's admirable what he's doing. Many people fly under the banner of Jesus but only talk the talk and don't walk the walk... He's doing good deeds, which is more than can be said about 90% of the population.

As long as a player plays well, I personally don't care what sort of contributions they make off the court. That's just me personally though.

That is not true. Most American households donate to charities, totaling 229 billion dollars in 2012.

Most people don't have huge stacks of cash, time on their hands, and reporters following them around like NBA players(and other famous people) do, so their contributions go unnoticed.

Wow wouldn't that be a great team Lin and Deroza back court. Harden/Howard/Lowry isn't bad either.

From an outsiders' perspective, Jeremy Lin is a really likable guy that seems like one of the NBA's true high character, classy individuals. Easily the most likable Rocket from an opposing team's fan's view.

The vast majority of apathy towards Lin comes from dealing with LoF's. There is also the bitterness of losing Dragic and replacing him with Lin. Then there is Lin's inconsistent and often r****ded performances on the court. It is not without logical reason.

LOF's are annoying but the guy is inconsistent but he doesn't get enough credit for what he does bring. At least on this board

Cause as a player he is inconsistent but he definitely seems like a likeable guy off the court.
