Had to watch the replay of the Heat game last night. Did it via the "Progressive" mode and my Chromecast. Worked flawlessly.
I just switch to a different region...if we playing a east coast team, I go west, if we are playing a west coast team I go east...just seems those servers have fewer traffic on feed...then again...I am using a wired connection and Comcast Extreme 105
It is tough for rox fans because we make up over 50% of the membership at BS. The developers and administrators just weren't ready for the amount of traffic clutchfans brought them. That is why rockets games are less crisp and slightly choppy compared to the others. We are over loading the servers. Which is why they closed open registration and made it invite only. My internet has sucked so I've had to watch all games on sd so it doesn't bother me about the pauses, but i have noticed them even on sd. I still appreciate the service and ability to watch the games, i would otherwise have to watch p2p style which is horrible. Side note: they are working on a medium quality for the playoffs. A happy medium of sorts.
Change www4 to www5 and on the bottom right of your screen you'll see details. Under that it'll say CTNL (CTNL for central) with a number next to it. And refresh the page until you're on CTNL4 or CTNL3. Both have been working perfect for me. CTNL5 and CTNL6 are terrible and unwatchable and you may be on that. Happy fixing! It should be normal now. I hope they figure out their CTNL5 and CTNL6 servers are bad. Because it's that way for all locations, in east, west and etc as I've tested.
I know this was already addressed by someone here, but could someone tell me how to use Chromecast? Is there a way to mirror what's playing on my laptop to chromecast that's connected to my TV? So like if I'm watching anything on my internet browser on my laptop screen, it'll show on my TV that has chromecast plugged in? Or even something from my hard drive that's on my laptop and play it on chromecast? Is any of this possible? Can someone help me out? Thanks!
Look up the Chromecast thread for more details but basically the answer is yes. You have to use Google Chrome as your browser and install the Chromecast plugin. It will cast a single tab from that browser onto your TV that has the Chromecast dongle attached. So if you want to watch Ballstream on your TV (and this is how I do it too) you would browse to website from Chrome and then click on the Chromecast icon on the browser (it shows up after you install the plugin). As for local content, if the browser can play it then you can also cast it to the TV. Just play the video file from the browser and cast it.
How do you stop those ads from running on the bottom tight of the page??? Really annoying when they randomly start playing during the game.
I was using eastern last night....the video is great BUT it buffers every 30 to 40 seconds or so. Lowered the res down to 800 (from HD) and the problem went away. May try some different zones tonight.
I am only having issues with the "Flash DVR" function when watching a game on delay. Buffers every 30 seconds or so, highly annoying. Flash live and archived games are flawless.
