Oh, I don't know ... it'll be fun when someone reflects back on these 2014 NFL Draft threads when we've found out just how right or wrong we've been.
I agree with this. He's the most consistent pass rusher in the draft IMO. I love the way he seperates the ball from the QB. That Ohio State game was amzing. He reminds me of DeMarcus Ware coming out of college.
He could have, he was pretty close to an ideal QB prospect coming out of college, the Texans ruined him.
I really like Mack, but not as a #1 pick. I think he's possibly the best defensive prospect in this draft but he's not a physical specimen and he played at Buffalo. He's a guy you trade down and get.
Trade down and get multiple first round picks. Acquire Clowney and CJ Mosley. Or get best qb and defensive player available.
Just trade down to # 4 pick up some extra picks and take whoever is left of Clowney, Bortles, Bridgewater, and Mack.
Gordon is worth a 1st round pick (possibly two 1st round picks) by himself. But if Cleveland is stupid enough to do it why not.
There's no way I see Cleveland trading Gordon. I also don't think the 1st overall pick is worth the 26th. Unless Cleveland is really desperate for someone who they think they can't get at #4, I can't see them wanting the #1 pick.
There's no way I see us trying to trade for him, it wasn't meant as a serious post...more of a wish list.
Again, it's both, the Texans aren't trading for a 3rd WR and Cleveland isn't trading him. I'm sure the Texans would take him if he was going to be given to them, but there's no way they'd waste resources going after a position that they are deep at.
Neither was Gordon last year and he doesn't have the record of dominating WR play like Hopkins does. For all we know, he's a one year wonder. He was a #2 in college, and was essentially the exact same as Hopkins as a rookie. Don't let that knee jerk too quickly.
Gordon is local so of course I'm bias but if you throw that guy a 10 yd pass he can go 80 with it. Reminds me a lot of dez bryant.
