Everyone gets a turnover every once in awhile. The problem is that Lin gets the same kind of turnovers and he gets them in bunches... which is why they are such a problem.

I'm puzzled why Lin isn't shooting the ball more though. He must not be feeling his shot tonight. I guess that reporter wasn't hot enough. sigh...

Meh. I can live with that pass.

Tjones was wide open, he just got the timing wrong. It's going to happen sometimes in transition. It wasn't like he tossed it to an opposing player or tried to thread the needle.

It's far more acceptable than the turnovers we were seeing in the first quarter.

Lin has played well so far. No complaints here.

It's better than the saved by zero commercial they put out a couple of years ago but why do they insist on making us stab our ears?

harden had 4 by the 8 minute mark of the 1st quarter, and the team had 9 in the first cpl minutes of the 2nd, the only one after that was lin trying to thread a pass for an easy layup that went out of bounds instead, a "good" turnover basically.

I think he should not have stopped and pulled the ball out. When he gets momentum like that I always feel confident he will make the lay-up. Not a big deal.

How many times has Lin connected on those no looks for easy buckets?

A lot since he's been on the Rockets. Sure it can result in a TO but most of the time it's an effective play.

    Low risk, low reward.

Lol. Why are you rationalizing it? It was a dumb and bad pass. But Lin is actually playing well this game and right now in general. So it's alright.

But call the pass what it was (unnecessary at best) and don't defend it.

It was a bad pass in execution, it wasn't a bad pass in concept. There's a difference. It's like the difference between a good shot that misses and a bad shot that goes in.

It's not rationalization, it's understanding good and bad shot selection and good and bad pass selection.

A bounce pass to Asik is a questionable pass, even IF he catches it. A pass right into Asik's hands is a good pass, even IF he bobbles it. That's the difference.
