I blame Vegas, they paid the NBA and its officials to make sure the Heat win this game.

The whole "superstars get the calls" mentality needs to stop. It's not human nature to give special treatment to people because they're the more talented player. Rules are in place and they apply to everyone. we need to end the notion that stars have the benefit of the refs.

That notion will end once they stop giving Superstars presidential treatment.

Are you serious? This is the National Basketball Association we're talking about. You do know they've gotten popped for having rouge officials right? They still dont call traveling on Lebron. And in that last play they reviewed. He took 3 steps before any foul was whistled.

Not sure how you interpreted my statement. I need to do a better job or emphasizing my point. I do realize there is a problem with refs and their bias toward stars and popular players. My point is people who say "ugh I wish we got superstar calls like that" should be saying that the existence of a superstar call is wrong and the entire idea needs to be attacked

Why did those same officials give Harden the most fts out of anybody that game?

Why didn't Vegas pay the NBA to make sure Miami covered tonight?

Why Vegas only pay NBA to make sure Rockets lose? :(

Didn't Miami cover? It was Miami -5.5. Score was 104-113. Oh Vegas so Illuminati.

You're correct in theory. It's completely unfair that some players routinely get the benefit of the doubt on fouls. Labron gets calls in his favor that 90% of the league won't get.

However, as someone else noted this is the NBA and it's big business. In general, people don't pay good money to see Labron foul out, or some no name D-league call up getting 15 trips to the foul line in a playoff game. David Stern learned long ago that the hero factor is huge. People want a hero. They want superstars. They want idols. It's marketing. MJ was a perfect example of this. His talent and work ethic were without question, but the marketing was genius. He became untouchable, the face of the NBA. So slightly different rules applied to him even on the court. Mostly subtle advantages that added to his already dominant presence.

In the end almost everything comes down to money. Heck, the ratings boost when MJ came out of retirement speaks volumes.

There is no rationalizing that Wade flop and the fact that these guys try calls all their observations into question.

The reason Dwight reaches out is so he can watch the ball and feel where Wade is at the same time. The reason for feeling Wade is so you maintain your space and position relative to Wade. Dwight is only doing what every bball player has been taught since my childhood and is doing it so he doesn't run over Wade and create the foul. If he only watches Wade and not the ball, he probably gets a foul and if he only watches the ball and does not know where Wade is, he probably gets a foul. That was a good basketball play by Howard and he got screwed while Wade got rewarded for acting.

There was no push and there was absolutely no reason for any kind of push anyway as Wade was under the basket and the rebound came down to Dwight. You can clearly see Dwight is just trying to maintain contact with his hand as Wade flops away in an attempt to know where he is as the ball is in the air. That was one of the most ridiculous calls I have ever seen and it penalized a good basketball play by Dwight.

That Nunn doesn't say this is not surprising, but the Coach guy just flushed a lot of his credibility by not pointing out the obvious.

I agree 100%. Did he ever get fined? If a superstar (former or no) starts abusing his perceived status of getting calls with flops and other acting jobs it should absolutely knock him back down to "normal" status.

    Are you listening Harden?

    Its not just the Rockets.

Why didn't the Refs call that foul on Lebron when he held Lin on that pick. The Refs was looking right them and didn't blow the whistle. That was the turning point and Rockets Chemistry killer.

Didn't Bev go for the ball when he fouled LeBron. LBJ charged him up and Bev got the T. bwhahahahaha

Harden drove the lane, got hacked and the refs swallowed the whistle. They been calling that call all game. So why didn't they make that call then Sir?

Majority of bettors took the Heat to cover, so why would Vegas pay the NBA to make sure that happened?

The pump fake alone is one of the best in the league.

I guess at times he could make a quicker decision AFTER the fake. But the fake it's self couldn't be much better!

I think that Wade flop is fine-worthy.
