Sigh. A short synopsis of trade no-gos.

1: If a trade target has to take the ball out of Harden's hands to be successful then no trade will be made by Morey. Example - Rondo.
2: If a player has taken more mid-ranged shots than the entire Rockets team then no trade will be made. Morey has invested almost a couple of years ridding the Rockets roster of mid-range shots. Examples - LMA, Melo.
3: Just because Woj reports that Melo has interest in the Rockets does not mean the Rockets have interest in Melo.
4: Roster balance must be considered. If Melo was a Rocket would there be enough shots to go around? The Rockets currently manage 1.56 shots per minute. Melo takes 0.58 shots per minute. Given that Melo is a less efficient scorer than anyone in the Rockets starting lineup, who would you be willing to take shots away from? Who would Morey take shots away from? Morey is not going to reduce the scoring efficiency of the Rockets.
5: No locker room or coach killing cancers. Rondo and Melo fall into this category. LMA however has an absolutely clean slate. A model teammate and player. Lowry was gone in a heartbeat. Learn from the past.
6: Love is the ideal candidate. And Morey has obviously been targeting free agency in the summer of 2015 for a while. Do not expect Morey to change course.

Carmelo would make 50% of the shots that Chandler either pumps fakes or misses, which would help him average about 20 a game. how is that not possible?

That being said, I think if we get a third star, Harden will not resign in 3 year. lets just lrt him develop. This ***** here is a beast.

If we win championships...which is the goal in any players career, he will re-sign.

Dude Melo is at the point where he just wants to win. He has kept quiet this whole disastrous season. How is he a cancer. Players mature.

Plus. Jones is only 22 and is showing flashes of being an Elite pf. While Chandler is 25 and is basically peaked

Players peak at 27.3 years. Somewhat more for bigs. I have the stats if you want them.

You watch too much ESPN bro, this Melo isn't the same Melo from 3 years ago. Morey had no interest 3-4 years ago, but these last 2 years there has been a significant change in his persona.

I wonder if the Rockets will be better with Howard/Harden/Melo/Jones/Bev or Howard/Harden/Melo/Parsons/Bev?

Surely this year you would probably want Parsons and play Melo at the 4...but what if TJones keeps improving and has another GREAT offseason stride in his development. Then which lineup would you prefer if you were assuming that a trade would be made with Asik/Lin + one other player (Jones or Parsons) to the Knicks in order to facilitate a trade..assuming that's what Melo requested them to do verses him just walking?

Melo is not coming. Just like Rondo was not coming despite "trusted insider" information. And I got the **** kicked out of me for that position. Love? I do not support that, but probably Morey is going all in.

On what basis do you figure that? Parsons has improved every year he's been in the league, including this one, his third season. I think he would fit in well with Melo, if we were able to keep both (assuming there's anything to this possiblity of getting the guy).

The only time I watch ESPN is when a Rockets game is hosted there. Otherwise it is all league pass for me. Of course this is the same Melo. The guy is approaching 30 and therefore by definition he is on the downside of his career. All downside and no upside. The guy is really, despite his salary, no superstar. A volume shooter and inefficient to boot. He has shown improvement in his rebounding and steals this season (stats.nba.com) but everyone regresses to their mean.

He has no basis. Only his uninformed opinion.

Clutch already confirmed that the Rockets tried to trade for Melo. Do you not believe him?

If the cap goes to $62.9 million next year the Rockets could trade Asik, Dmo, Jones. .... and waive and stretch Lin if they want to and create $17.6 million of cap space. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. # Bledsoe #Dirk #Taj&Mirotic #allsortsofoptions
