Lowry and Dragic both played well here too. If you think that Lin is being held back by the Rockets then that's your prerogative. Your expectations for Lin are way too high and you will probably be disappointed when he is traded and doest perform to your superstar standards.
This sounds like the post of someone who knows crap about Rockets ball and history. Dragic was traded to us for AB, because both were having a DOWN year on their respective teams. Dragic who was groomed to replace Nash was slumping and AB was never the same after getting injured and losing his starting spot to Lowry, who was no where near as good BTW when he was playing behind Conley. They wrecked it as Rockets starters and then got even better as they moved on. If anything, Rockets have been a catalyst of our PG's before Lin came and for the most part, failed. Why don't you learn a bit about Rockets history before trying to mouth off here? Alston, AB, Lowry, Dragic, and now Beverley all have played better on the Rockets than their previous teams. Only Lin has issues and much of his issues is between the ears. Don't get **** twisted because you don't know ****.
I think his upside would be who Dragic is now but it's still system dependent and who else is on the court. Also if Lin resigns for like a 2-3 mil a year contract then his current production would be viewed differently.
no, you are a homer. dragic has been the 3rd best PG in the league this year. lins upside is kirk hinrich.
thought the dragic hype died down, due to the losses lately, dragic ok play recently, just last night he got toasted by d.will (28 points) & had 2 assist 3 turnovers.. if they dont make playoffs it shows again why morey wasnt sold on resigning him AT THAT TIME, suns were 5th seed were in talk of their coach getting COY, Dragic MVP all that.... now theyre 9th seed, if they dont make playoffs it will be the same old sad story dragic pulled before he left houston. Cant blame lowry this time.
My mistake and good catch. Thanks! Either way, my point still stands; these PG's did not come to the Rockets and start sucking once they played for us. These guys for the most part, exceeded initial expectations we had of them and some of them continued to improve after they left our team.
how did lowry look when he was regulated to spot up shooter at the three watching dragic? run me the stats please. but forget the stats, just his overall mindset completely changed. not easy. you have to adapt to it.
Lowry would not have any issues playing alongside Harden. He plays alongside DeRozan who puts up 18 FGA a game on average this season while Harden is at 16 FGA.
jeremy lin deserves his 15 million next year just for having a great attitude throughout all this nonsense
no superstar standards here at all. Lin is far from it, harden is the only super star to come through houston recently. Even if you dislike lin or his fans whatever your case may be, If you watched lin here you would know if hes on that suns team now playing 35-36 mins he would average 17-18 & 6-8. Or if hes starting playing 36mins here as main ballhandler he would. Would this be the best thing for our team H** NO ! but dragic this year takes 15 shots 35-36mins... 20 points 6assit 3TO per game. THat assist and TO is what LIN did here last year playing off the ball. This is why I dont get the HYPE. You can argue that suns wouldnt win as much games or rockets wouldnt letting LIN play his style of ball which is probably true. But dragic hasnt made playoffs here or there and looking like the he wont again this year. So wins dont matter. But to say Lin STATS wouldnt go up way more is CRAZY. Dragic would be a better 3point shooter and less bone head plays than lin. But i would still say Lin would average more assist and their points would be close with dragic having a slight edge.
Basketball wise he's played well given his role. As the 7th option on this team with a short leash and unknown minutes, he gives you 13 ppg and 5 assists with good percentages. In fact, 2 credible sources known as JVG and Kenny the Jet Smith said on national TV that Lin is a very good player and is now underrated. Boom!
That's perfectly plausible. Lin clearly would benefit in that situation. But as you referenced, if we did that here we would likely still be stuck in the same rut as we were previously. Fighting for that last playoff spot with little hope to advance. Best team in the lottery. I'm ecstatic at our player acquisitions and remarkably quick chemistry. Lin has the opportunity to be an important piece on a very good team.
