he never called you idiots or dumb as you claimed in your previous post. i will say it though...you would have to be a dumb idiot to not know that most of the main characters will meet up at terminus by the end of the season.
Flattered, but that's not really true. Spoilers just aggravate the bejeezus out of me, as well as the others who posted with the same sentiments, so, it's not "me vs a bunch of other posters". Nor was this a "weird debate". I'm pretty harmless, but feel free and put me on your ignore list. Seems like you're just attempting to form/join in on a lynchmob though, as your post doesn't have anything to do with TWD, so, bully for you and whatnot. Good luck with your attempts. I'd prefer not to derail the thread along with you.
Actually, it seems like it's mostly you that has a problem with it. At least, you're the loudest voice. I think conjecture about plotlines is part and parcel of any discussion about an ongoing show. I don't think saying "when they arrive at the safe-zone" is anything more than an assumption based on everyone finding the terminus signs and deciding to head toward terminus. I just think you're ready to jump down someone's throat for spoilers, because you've done this before. "Terminus" doesn't exist in the comic books, so the assumption is just an assumption. Terminus could be an incarnation of any part of the comic plotline, or an original construct. We don't really know. They never split up like this in the comics, certain people are alive who died, certain people died who are alive, certain characters don't exist in one version or another. We shouldn't have to spoiler tag conjecture. Use it for true spoilers.
I want cardpire to regulate the GOT Season 4 TV thread. Just blasting fools who try to turn it into a book discussion like the previous seasons.
actually i have noticed the same thing over the years. again, there were no spoilers. no, its pretty weird.
Well, those are two different things now, aren't they?? By the way, I'd love to end this, but there sure is a whole lot of you speaking for the culprit and putting words in his mouth in this "weird debate". Notice he never denied using happenings in the book to formulate the post in question. You denied all that for him. He says pretty explicitly that he hopes they make Carl a more "badass character" like they do in the comic books when they reconvene at the safe zone (which to me would indicate that wherever they reconvene isn't exactly a safe place in the comics). If he said "I hope ____ doesn't get killed by _____ like he does in the comic books", is that okay, since it may or may not happen in the show? Your arguing on his behalf is enough already. His post was a spoiler, however minor or inconsequential YOU consider it to be. Here's hoping you and him and anybody else who reads the comic books will be respectful of those who don't in the future, and not hint at what lies ahead in the comics again. Thanks.
Why don't you guys read the comics as well as watch the show? It actually makes the experience of it all better.
if u wanna talk about what happens in the comics as compared to the show for things that have yet to happen, create a Walking Dead comics thread or spoiler it just to be safe.... This thread is about the the TV Show plain and simple, don't post stuff from the comics until it happens in the show, don't see why that is a problem
Eh, I'm not that bothered by your opinion. Just discussing. No worries. And I don't really post anything much in the thread unless it already happened on the show, so your problem isn't with me. I haven't even read all of the comic series. I'm just familiar with the plot. Don't worry about it. Let's just move along.
On another not, I believe it was mentioned on Talking Dead Sunday night, where was the gas from the stove coming from? It had to be some sort of propane tank, no? I can't imagine any sort of true utilities still being active, especially after being this far into the zombie apocalypse.
Not sure who is argue vs who right now but I will say when I read the comment that started this I assumed it was a spoiler, if I remember correctly, said person also mentioned the comics in his comment. I could be wrong in that regards but it did seem like a spoiler reading the comment "when everyone meets up at Terminus...". I have no idea who is going to make it to Terminus or who is going to die on the way there or who is going to stop or go a different route.
It actually flipped it for me. I was really into the show until I read the comics. Really loved the comics but have lost interest in the show. Still have season 4 on DVR in case I decide to binge watch some time.
That's how I felt as well, but I like how the TV show is a different take on the comics. Should I have spoiler-ed that? Idk, don't want to ruffle any feathers on this thread.
I didn't mention anything because it's already been said plenty of times. Things are different in in both universes. Terminus doesn't exist and some characters are alive and some are dead. Trying not to hurt your feelings Spoiler None oof the characters are in any real danger except for Darryl and I'm 100% sure he'll live. imagine what fans would do, they gave death threats to the woman playing Andrea after she accidentally shot Darryl. Fwiw, even if I have read the comics my comment was pretty vague. I make no mention of characters other than Carl. Your making assumptions yourself. I could be talking about Rick, Carl, and michonne as a group, I mean I did said "they" which isn't specific. Now if you go back to post 676, THAT is a spoiler since it specifically states exactly what your b****ing about. Yet only one person called him out and I didn't escalate to this proportion. Anyways, this will be my last comment on the matter and I'm moving on. No point in arguing with you. I've done nothing wrong.
I'm 54 years old and haven't read comic books since I was a kid and have no desire to do so now. I've found the Walking Dead comics online and looked at them on several occasions but did not find them as compelling as many here. That said, I have no problem with those who have read the comics and share here in this thread.
Got caught up on the last two episodes, and man were they good. The second half of the season had been dragging a bit, and that Daryl and Beth getting drunk episode was hard to get through. But looking back, I'm starting to appreciate these character centric epsisodes as it seems everyone has been searching for some resolution within themselves. Their wandering the countryside seeking absolution has been their own personal purgatory following Hershel's death, with Terminus serving as a Heaven of sorts (those who arrive survive). Bout the only complaints I have is that Tyrese hasn't seemed to care too much for Sasha's whereabouts, and neither Maggie and Beth for that matter. I love that this season, more than any other, has really focused on the characters and their struggles to survive emotionally in this world. And I dunno, anyone that thinks nothing has happened hasn't really been paying attention imo.
he made no mention at all of the comics in his post. he was responding to someone who did though, but it was not a spoiler since they were discussing the girl killing her sister and how there was a parallel to that in the comics...that is certainly fair game. you have no idea how bad the people who have read the comics could actually "spoil" it for you. any one of us can pretty much give you the basic plot outline thru at the least the end of next season if not beyond. i think all-in-all everyone has been pretty cool about it. that would be pretty lame, but that is not at all what happened here and again, none of this is even in the comics so your whole argument is moot. nope. nobody hinted anything. you're welcome.
