Yeah, and RG3 is a LOT more athletically gifted, much more elusive, and has a bigger frame than Bridgewater.
I guess I should have said "QB's who do not kamikaze themselves stay healthy in today's NFL".... Better now?
None of the QB's in this class, which is why none of them should go first overall. I know the QB desperation crowd still wants to draft a QB just to draft a QB, but there just isn't a QB worthy of the first pick this year.
Bwhahahhahaha it really is pimpn. That will be the medias main topic of discussion in the next few weeks.
This is definitely disappointing. And there's nothing defendable about Bridgewater's performance. At the very least, the fact that he skipped the combine and didn't even run his 40 there suggest he geared up for this day. This is the day where his salary change rise or fall by the millions next year, and he doesn't perform well? That said, I have no idea what the Texans look for in a QB so I won't hazard a guess. But I think at the very least, even if the Texans like him, it has to be more a trade down than take him 1 overall.
Geno should have been drafted in the 1st. He would have been better than any of the QB's we have now.
Oh wow. What's funny is that I actually believe you think that's true. Geno Smith is an absolutely horrible QB his completion percentage is in the mid 50's, he threw 21 picks to only 12 TD's even though he rarely threw the ball. The fact that you think that would be better than Schaub or even Keenum says a lot about your ability to judge talent at QB.
Woah, hey, relax, put the numbers away. Let's look at it this way. Geno Smith, a rookie, led a bad team to an 8-8 season. Matthias Schaub, a seasoned vet, led a good team to 2-14(although i will admit there was a little bit of tankage towards the end, but still). No amount of numbers or percentages can hide that fact.
I'd rather not look at it in a derp way, basing things on team performance, I prefer to look at how the players actually performed and the fact that the Jets asked less of Geno, and he performed worse than either Schaub or Keenum. Geno was an interception waiting to happen. In fact, 4.7% of the time Geno Smith threw the ball at all, it was an interception, the 2nd worst rate in the NFL last year (Eli was worse). In fact, if Geno took all of Schaub's passes, he'd have thrown 3 more interceptions than Schaub did and the same amount of TD's. Geno makes Schaub look incredibly competent.
Been saying all along that Bridgewater will be a huge bust. Where are all you people who were yearning to take him #1? Still want him now?
After seeing his pro day there is no way we can not take the guy. He is really smart and I think he knew he had to tank in order for the texans to pass on him. What we are seeing is now the 4th player who doesn't want to play here. I say read through the performance and take him 1st.
Bridgewater is pretty much done as 1st round prospect, small hands, too light, poor mechanics, black etc.
