Playoff= shorter rotation. No room for mix and match for dleaguers during playoff.

Too late in the season for that.
As another poster said, shorter rotations are the norm come playoffs, not experimenting with D-Leaguers.

Charlotte away is not a gimme. Denver at home is not a gimme either. their team is at full strength now.

I expect nothing less than 55 wins or more. If we can get more than 55, then it would be the best record we have since the Hakeem era.

I'm afraid if the rockets do something ridiculous like 15-0 they would burn out by the time the playoffs begin.

And to think this is the first year this team is together... They can only get better.

A strong finish down the stretch is really needed, to give us confidence for the playoffs.

Typically fans can't really predict thier team, they always oversell or predict doom.

But I think the vast majority of us predicted about 55 wins and a 2nd round exit, maybe conference finals appearance if things fell right, and though its been an up and down season, we appear right on track for that.

I think I was putting the +- at 54 wins this year for us. Hope we go over. Good season. Great season if we manage to make it to WCF.

    Hoping for 56.

And to think if this team had another year together it's a 60 win team.

I had them a 52-57 wins, with a low side of 47 and high side of 60 (very hard to get those last games over 60).

They're about on pace in terms of game wins (despite the twin towers slowing them down), however they're gelling more quickly than I was anticipating. The personality fit has turned out to be as good as you can hope in terms of the players.

As for the play offs, it's a crap shoot. The West is WAY too deep. I think the chance of the WCF is about the same as a 1st round exit depending on who we draw and who's hot.

Portland and GSW can shoot you out of a series if they're hot. Memphis can just grind you down. And you never know what Dirk is going to do come play off time.

I actually like our chances in the 2nd round better than the 1st round depending on the match up. And it's going to be *very* hard to get out of the WCF if we get that far. Youth, inexperience and coaching adjustments are going to work against us if we're up against the likes of Doc and Pops.

Cool - so you were right in my line of thinking. I had them at 20-60 with a low of 0 and a high of 82.

    Cover your bets much?

It's called assigning probability. I had the bulk of outcomes in 52-57, with 2 sigma (approximately 15% each way) with higher/lower totals.

So it was something like this...

    15% (47-51)
    70% (52-57)
    15% (57-60)

It's called a probability distribution. Feel free to look it up.

If I detect sarcasm here then you are right in a backwards sorta sarcasm as argument tool way.

I know you can say it's another year of growing into leadership for Harden, better chemistry etc., but the truth is Dwight is the big difference between this year and last.

What we could have done if Asik had been "healthy" enough to play. Not sure what that would be worth in wins losses. Too bad his butt got hurt.
