If you don't like Bridgewater. I don't have a problem with that. I watched him throwing today and have been honest about what I saw. He didn't look good, not terrible so don't get it twisted but his passes didn't look crisp at times and not one of his long ball throws looked good. I am honest about that as I am honest about IMO who has looked better in games. Don't know why that is but if he was sick before and he lost weight because of that it could be a real reason. Doesn't mean it is but it certainly could be. You or I don't know.

Of 3 qbs that are "hyped" to be top qb's Bridgewater is the only one I wouldn't have a problem with. Leaning towards wanting Clowney or a stud defensive player right now.
Honestly though, I just can't see Rick Smith drafting Bridgewater. This is his last chance to keep his job, and I just can't see him taking that shot on a QB with so many questions with the first pick.
It's stupid. They made a big deal about him choosing Andre's agent too. They also knocked JFF for going with Maverick Carter.
The Bridgewater fad should now be finished. This is the final nail in the coffin for Bridgewater and the #1 pick.
It's relevant to your post because you said he didn't cut weight for his pro day....it hasn't happened yet so we don't know.
yeah....this is not unexpected. Of course Bridgewater looked good on film against pitiful competition. To me that is not insightful, but many so-called "experts" will fall in love with him. Now the weight is an issue and his decision making has been called into question (advisor, last minute flip-flop not to run at the combine...). If he doesn't have it between the ears, then BO'B won't be interested. BO'B wants a smart QB. Teddy has raised questions. I'd still like to see both his and Bortles' wonderlic scores.
Since he looked average at best at his pro day, it's a REALLY good thing he didn't throw at the combine, he'd have looked terrible. Also, with an unofficial 4.78 at 208 lbs at his pro day, he'd have probably run around 4.9 at the combine, another smart decision to not run the 40 at the combine. Basically the less Teddy Bridgewater does, the higher his stock.
He's still short. Again, he doesn't play like Manziel so whether he was 230 or 195 doesn't really matter. Everyone just tries to base that as one of his faults.
Don't get the agent scrutiny for TB. McGuire represents plenty of big name players, including Andre Johnson. Rand Getlin's logic seems a bit questionable.
Funny how I think Manziel is better at all of Teddy's "best attributes" than Teddy is. I thought it was all the other stuff that put Teddy above him. I personally don't put much weight in pro days or the combine, either good or bad, but then again, I'm just a fan and don't make my money by picking the best player.
No doubt the poor throwing by TB is an eyebrow raiser - but that is why we watch film at actual games. Iow, he may play better at a real game. All these height, weight and 40 time question marks over him are mute; Joe Montana was 6'2", 204 and ran a 4.7 at his combine. Split those hairs.
Those "attributes" are just spin, when you are pulling for a player and he fails in his measurables, the easy spin is to say that he has "intangibles".
You mean to say "moot"....."mute" is something on a TV controller. Also, there have been thousands of small framed 6'2 QB's....only one turned out to be Joe Montana and even he struggled with injury his entire career. Let's not pretend that Bridgewater is the next Montana.
If his workout was as bad as claimed, Teddy could end up being this year's Geno Smith and slide into the 2nd round. His frame and small hands are a concern. Could very well be passed over for Bortles, Manziel, and Derek Carr.
