I agree, he was worried about his weight more than anything going into the combine. He'll put on more over the course of his career but he'll never play at 225 in his prime. If Texans have a problem with his size than nothing's change. I think they don't.

208 is alarming when people on here were b****ing he was 190-195. He got down to a weight were he could run and throw at his best. If anyone doesn't think a kid who just turned 21 won't put on a few more pounds in his life they are idiots. That being said size is a benefit and more is better all else equal.

190-195 would have been totally unacceptable and he'd have fallen out of the first round entirely, 208 is concerning because he couldn't keep the 214 he was at for the combine and he was still pretty slow even at 208. He's frail and slow....the knock on him has always been that while he has a great football mind, he doesn't have the body and everything I've seen pretty much confirms that.

Warner just said he was inaccurate at pro day. Throwing now.

Let the Bridgewater fanatics pile on

Kurt Warner: It's been good, not great. He's missed some throws, hung some throws. ... Struggled with accuracy here today. ... Lack of accuracy and timing. He was late.

Mike Mayock: To be honest, I expected more today. ... I thought it was average at best. ... I didn't see any drive that says he has an elite arm. Movement to the left, inaccurate. A lot of flutters, inaccuracies, didn't drive it. Average workout at best.

I watching now on NFL network and he is throwing fine mid routes but he is definitely inaccurate long. His form is good and and he is very accurate 10-15 more than that he is inconsistent. 3 long balls 60+ yards all inaccurate one complete. He looks really good rolling out. That's what I see.

Schaub part 2. No Thanks. I don't want Bridgewater. Give me Clowney or Manziel.

Mike Mayock says Bridgewaters pro day was very average at best. Hate to say it but I agree. Mayock says he didn't see anything of him driving.

Teddy hurt his stock today. Sad for him because on film he looked better. His long ball was a problem but everything else looked good. Today he wasn't great at anything. I mean in terms of drive and velocity even in the middle throws. Accuracy was there in everything but long ball. He still has great film but I have to admit he is a reach at number one all.

There interviewing Teddy now. Awkward because they were cutting in to him and now he is there and they are trying to pick out his defects but being polite. Mayock says he liked the deep ball and he threw on the right shoulder. I didn't like it so much. Because he overthrow his recievers and on the ne completiong it was underthrown.

If Bridgewater is not the guy I'm happy with Clowney.

I was really hoping Teddy B would show well.

OMR, are you thinking now that he isn't worth #1 overall?

I think Teddy would have been better putting pads on and another team on the other side. Don't get it but if pro day matters Bridgewater is a second round pick.

I was wondering the same thing. I figured he'd wear gloves. Interesting he didn't.

I'll be honest, he had an average day throwing. But like some have said, Pro days aren't the be all end all. Gabbert and Jamarcus Russell had near perfect pro days whereas Cam had a poor pro day. I think ultimately these guys will be judged mainly by their film.

OK so people trying to be objective might say he had a second round pick level pro day. But PERSONALLY, where do you rank him in terms of being able to help this team? Do you put him behind the top position prospects now? Do you still have him ahead of the other top QBs?

We need a QB so bad. If you watch film he was great. His footwork and throwing on the run and under pressure is great. Off the charts great. But the thing I thought he would improve was his accuracy on the long ball and he looked just as bad as ever.

Mike Mayock just said he thaught it was just average pro day but putting it in perspective Jamarcus Russell had the greatest pro day ever. Made every pass long ball short ball. The ball didn't hit the ground but afterwards he said he wouldn't take Russell till the second cause the kid doesn't love the game. He said Bridgewater had great meetings today and it's clear hee knows and loves the game.

To answer your question it makes me not as strong on him as I was. I wish he would have just gone into the combine at 208 and run and thrown and done everything. I would have been better with that. But you don't get to throw in the game without pads and without pressure on most reps. And in that Bridgewater shines. Still if forced to choose now I would pick him but I have less argument against ohter guys like Clowney and Mack.

Saying that Bridgewater had an average pro day is being generous. I've been in the draft Bridgewater camp all along but he did not look good out there at all, I hate to be the one to put too much emphasis on a pro day but watching him throw today was troublesome because it looked like he has some serious accuracy issues.

Passing on these QBs for Clowney seems like it might be the best idea but it really makes you wonder where this team is going to get a franchise QB in the near future. Maybe a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round could eventually work out but the odds are much lower on that and this team is too talented to be picking high enough to draft Jameis next year. It almost seems like the Texans are destined for mediocrity at QB...
