Bottomline: The combo of terrible officiating and the Rockets going cold down the stretch cost our boys a chance at winning this game. Dont worry boys, the refs make one up for us tom night...smdh...
You can also claim yourself a fan and bash them to death. You do not put him under a microscope like others if you are a fan. On the contrary, it's also equally stupid to brag and broadcast whenever he has a good game.
Hope you guys are ready for the Utah Jazz trap game where Hayward scores a career high on us, as usual.
I've been worried about this lately. I feel like they've been playing hard and they deserve to be like 14/16 since February before these last three losses. I think they played hard, and only deserved to lose the Bulls game. The Heat and especially the Thunder played like it was a playoff game. It didn't show as much today, because the Heat have been crap as of late. The point is it some of those wins during the streak took a a lot out of them. Many were close and the Rockets fought to make sure they got them. These next 5 games are exactly what they need. Let's just hope a few of them are blowouts.
The loss is not on Lin, I agree. It's a team game. However, that posession may have been the most important of the game and Lin's decision definitely pushed the Heat over the top. I want Jeremy to be our next all-star PG. I really do, but good grief, I just sometimes don't understand his decisions. Not only today, but the way he selects opportunities to penetrate the lane without any options, and as usual, his shot selection. Once he gets that part down, he'll be good. Do I miss Dragic though? Damn right
Seems like Lin was in because he was the only guy size-wise to guard Allen. Ideally, Lin doesn't guard him, but there is just nobody else on the team who can I guess. The Heat recognized it and went to the Lebron-Allen combo multiple times. Doesn't help that Lin got basically no calls on him on the defensive end (e.g. that super obvious grabbing screen by Lebron and multiple offensive fouls by Lebron on Lin). Personally, I think McHale coached according to what Spoelstra did instead of forcing them to match up with D-Mo in. Spoelstra's the better coach, so not surprising.
if you are using that logic than there are no contenders in the NBA... every team has been blown out.
So this is what happens when I miss games. So, with 3 losses in a row, we'll win the next one, right? Right?!
I must say though D-Mo does Close out better than Lin on those 3s? really hate seeing people jumping all over the place on a 3 point shooter.
Our starters should be benched this game according to plus/minus of last game. I hope I could be more stupid to understand my own logic.
it wasn't a back to back, and got blown out. i don't think the HEAT get blown out by the Bulls on a none back 2 back game.
On the positive note....adversity builds character. Were on a mini slump now, I hope we come out of it as a better team and realise that we are not there yet. Hope no one in this team will ever say we are the best team in the NBA until were actually holding that trophy at the end. *Looks at Chandler for jinxing the team and himself*
They lost the will to fight. Whether or not it had anything to do with the officiating is the question. You have to play through bad calls. But did anyone else feel like every time the Rockets got close to tying or taking the lead the refs stepped in. They finally got the lead up to 4 a couple of times, but the second time they gave up the Ray Allen three. I think they got tired, and McHale should have made more substitutions. Hamilton should have started the 4th over Harden. That's his only problem. He doesn't rest his best players.
Except when one guy is -22 and the 2nd worst is -7. If they were -22 with him they were +13 without him.
He's an NBA player. He's open to criticism. Period. If anything, Jeremy gets less criticism than other point guards because of his incredible fan base. His praise outweighs his critics. On this board, it may be seen differently. The majority of us were Rockets fans way BEFORE Jeremy and we will be Rockets fans AFTER. That goes for all players that wear Rockets red.
