It's not always Lin's fault. Sometimes, he is pretty good offensively. BUT he is nearly always a defensive liability no matter who he is guarding and he is so inconsistent sometimes his offense is even worse than his defense. This guy had a couple good weeks in New York and a few dozen good games as a Houston Rocket, but he's not an above average NBA player. The Rockets are trying to win a championship by playing consistently against elite teams with elite players, and I just don't think Jeremy Lin can play an important role on a team with those aspirations.
I agree very bad coaching decision keeping lin in tonight. He was getting bullied. because he's so fragile i think refs think twice before giving him calls.
WOW I thought this was photoshopped lol I had to go to espn to make sure this was legit. WOW Lin plays his worst against the Heat. It's like Wade/James want to destroy him every time they play against him.
Dmo should have been. I don't know what goes through lin's mind with those Ray Allen 3s. There was no need for that when the team was positioning, he's not James harden and he needs to start realizing that.
People complaining about the OP making a thread STFU. That is the point of a forum. He is talking about this specific game and raises a good point.
Bolded part QFT. They went after him hard as soon as he got in the game on both offense and defense. LBJ even hinted at finding a matchup they like in the post-game interview.
We have a Fire McHale thread that these reactionary outbursts should be taken to, or the game thread. Lock it up
Lin was playing solid, but I agree Jones or Dmo should've still been in. Jones was doing a great job on PnR defense and crashing the board. Lin was getting abused on switching vs Lebron. Not blaming this on Lin though, just the matchup killed em
I was suprised, but DMo is one quick 7 footer...he was on Ray Allen for a bit down the stretch, and was able to switch perfectly...DMo is an high IQ perimeter defender...
Lin started off well, but really made bad decisions in the fourth...For some reason, im thinking this team mentally psyches out the kid.
The calls and no calls are seriously bad against Lin. It makes you wonder if this game will ever be amended fairly....
Often Lin provides a spark but lately it mostly hasn't materialized. This game Lin was just horrible. He had massive trouble guarding Allen (who exploded for a season high). Asserting we were doing great with DMo is a stretch (he was just +3 for the night). Our defensive options vs. the Heat scorers are limited. You can't put Bev on the 2 or the 3. Parsons is a decent defender and he kept LJ from going crazy but Lin on Wade or Allen. LJ was grabbing Lin early and often getting him out of position and we got burned on that a lot. Problem there is Lin gets really close to the outside guy when swinging around to get back to his man and they can easily disrupt him.
heat and okc, and at some point you've gotta go thru em, much rather getting rondo somehow dude is a killer
