Decker is a far better receiving option than what the Jets had and sometimes teams have to overpay to improve at a position of need. He may not put up big numbers because the Jets offense isn't built that way but he could be a good security blanket for Geno like Boldin was for Flacco... All the Jets need him to do is to help move the chains and not necessarily be a game changer. He may still be a good #3 fantasy option...
An incentive based 2 yr 7 mil deal smh. He really thought he was gonna get big money, he must've had a bad physical exam, probably because of the ribs LoL. He started believing he's better than he is, talking crap about the fans and doing interviews like he's a superstar, enjoy the snow Ben you'll see lots of it outside your window most Sundays this when you're injured
That's kinda sucky. In the NFL, everyone is at-risk for injury, every single play. Could Tate really not get a deal anywhere else, that wasn't incentive-based? It would really suck if Tate suffers a freak injury.
For the "why ain't we signin' anybody/we're getting worse/we're not going to fill any holes/we're tanking" crowd, I remember that a lot of people were pissed in 2011 as well. Then we signed Danieal Manning and Jonathan Joseph, 2 guys who ended up being instrumental in turning our defense around. Do you know when that happened? July 29th. Both of them. July freakin' 29th! I don't know what free agency holds for us this year, but I know enough to not panic 5 days into the signing period.
are there still "danieal mannings and johnathan josephs" still out there? who would you like to see the texans pick up?
Eric decker is a great wr and can be a #1 option. I've watched his guy since his rookie year, he has a ton of talent. He's not some Kevin Walter type
Wasnt the offseason delayed that year because of the strike? I think that's why they were signed so late.

I think that's right. The date has nothing to do with anything. It was early into free agency if I remember correctly. And JJo was considered the 2nd best CB on the market; manning thought to be one of the best safeties at that tine as well. Those type of guys are all off the market now. We're gonna have to unearth some diamonds and find real value ala Wade Smith for example. Looking forward to seeing what we do. I'll say it again, we will sign a starting caliber D-lineman, and an O-lineman.
