Alot of people just assumed Granger was done, but if a talented all-star caliber player is healthy and in great shape, I dont see how they can't still produce. I dont understand why people where so quick to cast out Granger when he was only a couple years removed from being the best player to take it to Miami in the playoffs.

Also you look at the needs of the Rockets and a healthy Granger would seem to be exactly what they are needing at the moment which is sort of a hybrid version of Carlos Delfino and Rashard Lewis. I just dont understand why Morey wouldn't have gone a little bit harder for Granger to take a gamble on his talent.... which is something Jordan Hamilton can only dream of possibly developing.

Maybe Granger didn't want Houston because of Parsons, but if Granger was open to discussing coming here and Morey half a#$'ed his pitch because of Hamilton.... that's a huge mistake by Morey.

Granger, Butler, Gordon. Should have signed someone. Like I posted earlier, should have signed Granger just to keep him for signing with someone else. Or at least tried.

I can't believe people still fall for Carl's troll jobs.

I don't know why we didn't go after Granger - seemed like a no brainer - if anything just to keep him away from the clips. We could have played him at the 4 - he's definitely the best player to put next to Dwight who can hit a 3. Makes no sense.

Just because you want the player on your team doesn't necessarily make him want to sign with you. Before the Rockets went on this run not a lot of people thought they were contenders. Only recently after the All Star Break has the media been saying the Rockets are a legit team. The Clippers have been en vogue since the beginning of the year when Doc Rivers took over. Granger would have probably signed with LAC whether Morey asked or not. To be honest if I were an NBA player and I wasn't a Rockets homer, the media hype and the recognizable names on the roster would persuade me to sign with LAC as well.

Carls trolling as always yes. He's trying to make a joke about Morey never getting free agents. We get that.

But at the same time, in this occasion its more of a discussion of why they didn't go get a freebie when it was out there for the taking.

There is probably a good reason in the end as to why they didn't go for him that hard, but "Jordan Hamilton's emergence" would be a pretty dumb one if that was the true reason as to why Morey didn't go after Granger as it was rumored by Cyberx.

But whatever.... there is no point in crying over spilled milk as an earlier poster eluded to. It is what it is, and I fully expect Morey to be contemplating more long term solutions than Danny Granger anyways... still can't help but wonder how he could have helped this post season though.

I thought Rockets were among the teams pursuing Granger, maybe just not very vocal about it. Saw some twitter before listing Rockets in the mix.

Hamilton is fine. He provides much needed rebounding and decent defense. He really needs to stop trying to drive the ball though - stick to spot up shooting. He always seems to end up shooting off balance because he can't decide whether to drive or shoot.

Just because we didn't sign him doesn't mean we didn't try

    Hamilton and granger share agents

Maybe granger went where he had a more clearly defined and guaranteed "role"
Not the place where he got an extra million

They were, even day before he signed they said he was going to talk to 4 teams that day.

Everybody knew he was going to pick the clippers, because he was promised mins maybe even could start in LA the 3spot is wide open with clippers, the 3spot in Houston was 40min a game PARSONS and DOC let him know what's up. Clippers beat us actually the day before for 3rd time why would he have signed with us, that would've been dumb on his behalf

I already responded to this post a month ago. But wanted to come back and use this as an example of how ppl try so hard to pretend like they know what they're talking about but in reality don't. Not only was this guy wrong, but he thought whoever didn't agree with his wrong opinion, was stupid. Great post:rolleyes:

Why everyone assume that he wanted to come here and we rejected him ? He wanted to go to LA. Move on.

The Rockets never had a chance in getting Granger.

Granger already had a home in LA and wanted to play with Doc, CP3 and BG.
He also wanted playing time something the Rockets might not be able to give him.

So yea Clippers were ideal for ihm.

Granger went 0-4 with 0 points tonight. Not surprisingly, Carl is nowhere to be found.

Granger went to the team he thought had the best chance to win a Championship. CP3, Griffin, and a Championship level Coach with a Ring to show for it. If the Miami Heat gave him an offer, he'd probably sign with them.

His career is almost over, why would he take a chance with a team nobody thought was a legit contender?
