Aren't you just supporting my statement that this shows the Texans think they can win now? Keeping Schaub puts an extra ~$11mil cap hit on the Texans assuming they cut him next year.

He's probably not going to be released. I don't think they want to start a rookie QB and they struck out with all of the FA QB's they've targeted so far.
I'm hearing from my source that Owen is going to Washington, barring some kind of major event. Ehh, to me i don't like it. Just that whole franchise seems to be in disarray. But i wish him the best.
probably the best tight end without knees in the game today. another one that will be missed but it's a move that has to be done for the future.
If this is an o'b supported decision then maybe its a grand scheme move that must be made, if not then its just another typical boneheaded smith move that another team will benefit from especially since he was willing to restructure.
Idk why he was released, Owen was willing to take less money and restructure to stay, and ultimately thought he wasn't getting cut. He wanted, and wants, to stay in Houston. In order to immediately get cut the next day. But this is a business, and he's keeping his roots here. Not selling his house etc... He is going to Washington because he can be the 2te of a scheme benefiting his skills.
Paperwork signed with ravens. Good fit and good signing honestly. Stays in the same system, with a better team and better qb..
Better team, not better QB. Give it one more year and people will be embarrassed to have defended Flacco.
You guys have to remember that his cap number is low for the first three years. And is very much a restructure candidate after year number three. There's a misconception about his contract, where people think that it has handicapped the franchise. But it hasn't, and probably won't.
