Ben Tate to the Browns has been a rumor for so long I honestly thought it wouldn't happen.

Haha, seriously. We've been hearing about the Browns being a potential landing spot for Tate for like 2 years now. Usually when things are that obvious, it never comes to fruition. Either way, good for Ben.

Wish we could have kept him.

Tate-to-Cleveland has been in the works for at least 2 years now.

Wish we could've made the no-brainer move and traded him when we had a chance.

Nice pick up for the Browns, if they could find a QB their offense could be pretty good.

I would give a team a 5th rounder to take him off our hands

Its clear that running backs are no longer highly valued around the league. Any team that has a lot of money tied into a position with such a high injury risk, along with a very little "elite" shelf life, will likely not get anywhere close to decent value out of the contract.

How do you not keep Tate at 3.5 per season? I know Foster makes a ton at the position, but we will regret letting Tate walk. Maybe he just wanted out of H-Town. Didn't want to share time and carries with Foster. But if we could have kept him at that price we sure should have.
