Well, I can't find any unanimous and firmly documented support of this... but, considering the circumstances, it does seem quite likely...

I take it that your lack of response to my previous inquiry means they haven't fully investigated the pilot's background, or any of the crewmen's background for that matter, yet...?

That's just eerie to think about. Could you imagine a 777 full of dead people flying for 4 hours on auto pilot and then sputtering out due to a lack of fuel and going down into the ocean? My God.

I think this is the most likely answer. The plane suffered multiple catastrophic failures involving the pressure and electrical system.

The initial guesses, even those lasting a few months, seem to never be the actual cause.

Eyewitnesses seeing planes on fire, missiles, erratic turns, are often found to be complete bollocks.

Well it seems unlikely if the transponder was turned off. Planes have multiple redundant systems.

I can't believe this was some mechanical failure. Not at this point.

It just seems to point towards this entire thing being intentional... whether it was a pilot or someone else...

Would anyone happen to know if there's been any sort of thorough investigation as far as the personal history/backgrounds of the crewmen...?

I would think the answer is YES, but it is not, apparently, widely available for chumps like us.

FWIW, I haven't see one single aviation expert offer up a mechanical failure explanation since the new information started coming out. The only people giving that sort of explanation at this point are people trying to sound calm and rational.

I've seen pilots, crash researchers, etc. and they all say the same thing. Mechanical failure doesn't make sense at this point.

Richard Quest is way too enthusiastic about this. I've had to mute CNN a few times when he comes on.

its probably going to be mechanical failure. I was interested the first couple of days, but all the theories, false reports have turned me off from watching the latest. I'll wait till the plane is found and it is confirmed.

As I posted earlier, The captain of the flight, Zaharie, is Anwar Ibrahim supporter and Anwar was sentenced to 5 years jail by the government few hours before the MH370 took off.
Someone may be pissed about that and try to make a statement by "disappeared" the whole plane to make the malaysian authorities looked dumb and stupid in front of the whole world.

I agree, although he seems to have that delivery no matter what he talks about.

I think he was arrested in Central Park while he was on acid or something a few years ago. Not exactly your 'normal' news personality.
