Interesting. I said Oulson refused to stop texting. RocketsJudoka disagreed and said that Oulson had already stopped texting by the time Reeves returned. You agreed with him.

I then provided an article showing that that Oulson was still trying to text after Reeves returned. You then implied that my reading comprehension had problems.

Well, it took 8 years, but he was found not guilty.

I watched a good bit of the trial online, and I thought he would be convicted. The man that was killed grabbed Reeves popcorn and through it in his face. Reeves immediately shot him dead.

Both men were idiots, but one man had a gun and the other one didn’t. Just another example of a simple argument that turned deadly because someone had a gun in his pocket. Reeves seemed like a former cop who still enjoyed enforcing rules and bossing people around. Oh well, both men were idiots.

I get that on paper taking someone's popcorn and throwing it in their face is probably assault/battery/whatever, but it feels more than silly to legally excuse someone for murdering another human over what is effectively hurt feelings.

 

What a sham.

 

Doesn't surprise me he got away with murder in Florida. If he had been black he probably would have gotten life.

 

Is is right? Should it be right? Hell no, **** no, but I just say "ok brother" and walk away.

Just not worth dealing with crazies.

Trust no one, they're all potentially armed and all potentially angry.

 

Especially in Texas. Heck, I'm old enough to remember the days when you could flip off some as*hole on the freeway who rode your ass then swerved in front of you and hit the brakes. Now days you'd be risking getting shot in the head for that. People get shot for much less now. You can't even look at some of the hot heads wrong. Too many crazies packing guns.
