    Yeah, I knew.
    From the evidence I've seen either they were working on a PC version and a PS4 version or just the PC version. There was definitely PS4 code in the beta. It's all moot really since it won't be coming out for PS4. Hopefully Titanfall 2 will.

    Can you link me to where you saw PS4 code in the beta, if you don't mind (and still have a link somewhere)? I think I might have missed that.

    I remember seeing one bit about it, but I think it was incorrectly reported that PS4 code was in the beta. Plus, they probably got that from the Source engine, which could have PS4 code, but doesn't mean Respawn was working on a PS4 port.

    I might be remembering it wrong.

    May be confusion though. Either way it doesn't matter much at the end of the day. The PS4 reference may have been referring to pixel shader; that's the way it looked to me just now.

    Yeah, I did see that. And I'm pretty sure they were talking about PS 4.0 (why have ps40 in the file for PS4? Orbis would probably make more sense too).

    PS3 is definitely in there, though like I said earlier, it was probably part of Source.

    The only reason I mention it is because that would conflict with what Dodd (and Respawn) had previously said.

    My condo is a lot like that dude's. I cook and do dishes in the kitchen all the time watching TV from about 25 feet away through the bar opening above my sink. I change channels, switch to Xbox Music or Netflix all the time with all kinds of ambient noise going on like running water, cooking noises, etc. My Kinect has always worked flawlessly.

    Yeah, I posted about that (and other numbers) on the previous page.

    To restate my opinion, March should be fun. Titanfall, as mentioned. MGS:GZ for both platforms (and last-gen, but certainly being pushed on XBO/PS4). Infamous for PS4. XBO rebounding after a rough January (due to returns I wonder?). With the Japanese launch over, Sony might be able to send more units to the US and meet demand (plus demand could be slowly lessening). Plus we have GDC! Etc.

    I already see people comparing Amazon/Best Buy/Gamestop best selling charts for March (PS4 seems to be still doing well despite being OOS for a bit, but these aren't always accurate of the market as a whole). Plus people trying to take something away from a "hundreds of thousands of gamers playing Titanfall" comment from an Xbox PR person.


    Speaking of Titanfall, I posted this in the other thread, but to be consistent with what I did earlier, here's a tech analysis of the game:

    As I said then, some of their tech decisions seemed bizarre to me (and maybe just excuses). I hadn't even considered the point they mention about how silly their uncompressed audio excuse seems to be.

    I hope they didn't raise it to 792p, just so they/MS could avoid more "720p lol" articles.

    720p isn't a bad thing depending on how you're living room is set up. Your viewing distance plays a big part in telling the difference between the two resolutions. I think I would rather have 720p/60fps then have 1080p/30.

    I dont see the point of doing 792

    It generally depends on the game and the IQ in general as for what works best IMO. 720p with good AA is...OK, and if it helps you hit a solid 60 FPS, that might be fine. 1080p can still produce jaggies too (Forza has some, I think I'd prefer Ryse's IQ at 900p). Then you have the wackiness of KZ's MP rendering (pseudo 1080p).

    On top of that, 60 FPS is more important for some games vs others. A locked 30 FPS for a Quantic Dream game (at 1080p) would be preferable over 60 FPS and 720p I think. But for sports games, twitch shooters/fighters, etc., 60 FPS is much more important. I think I slightly prefer higher framerates over higher resolutions (it seems more noticeable and important for gameplay), but I admit that I'm really liking some of the much improved IQ that PS4/XBO are providing (over the horrible IQ on 360/PS3). And some of those 1440p/2160p shots from PC gaming.. :eek:

    Yeah, I don't know what's up with 792p. I guess if it was "free," that's fine (and it is better than 720p). But if it affected performance in any way, that was definitely not a good decision. Given how poor the game performs at times, it certainly seems odd to be focusing on increasing the resolution for the game (especially given how non-trivial this is on XBO).

    edit: Also, 720p on a 720p native TV is better (vs 720p on a 1080p display).

    I saw the MGS5 video comparing the quality of the releases for each platform. It's not even a contest. PS4 wipes Xbox One.

    A developer who has developed for Sony only trying to do a money grab and go multi platform. I'm sure the XB1 didn't get the best effort.

    It seems a lot of devs aren't giving XBO their best effort, including those paid to provide exclusive games. :p

    If all developers use cardboard people like forzaa 5 did, 1080p/60fps should be easy on xbone.

    I didn't think ms would give away titanfalll for free and even do a promo and drop the price $100 to sell the console. When everyone said titanfalll would sell consoles I don't think anyone thought they meant the game would be free. Smart move by ms though. They saw a problem and they did something about it.
