Agree. They have to learn to play with the same intensity and passion reardless of the opponent. Chicago can't handle this Rockets team, and unfortunantely, this Rockets team knew that and showed up without thier A game. Quintessential recipe for a loss.
Parsons and Harden both said after our stellar last week, that Houston is one of the top teams in the league. Which we all here know and love the idea but that kind of thinking is what lead us to horrible losses with a young team. Howard said it best stating we need to stay humble and grounded.
I wish the playoffs started today. Yes, the team is not firing on all cylinders, but match ups favor us with the current 1-8 rankings.
I don't mind letting them get a wake up call every now and then. The Pacers and Heat just lost several games in a row and no one really panicked..Just learn from it and move on
This team won't be winning it all without going through some serious maturation and that won't be happening without some painful yet necessary losses. Don't set yourself up for disappointment....this team isn't a title contender yet and it isn't fair to expect that of them in their first year playing together and being so young still. There are no guarantees that youth will ever realize potential without the experience that comes with age.
If there was a team that was going to give the Rockets a lesson about defensive intensity and heart and drive to succeed, i am glad it was the bulls. They've been such an example of grit and pride the last two years.
We need to show heart and character from these set backs. Our future depends on it. No one will come to rescue us.
Mental migetetry exposed under the pressure of the playoffs. Harden, Howard, and McHale.....all show how weak they are mentally. My only hope still remains that the beating they get against a team they should beat due to their lack of effort and focus leaves a mental scar in their heads to get them to grow up. McHale just looks lost. I'm most disappointed in Harden....he just shrunk under the pressure and just started watching others. As if the game should just come to him. And that play with 40 seconds left. What good is it if he's an offensive threat (which he wasn't tonight) if he's just going to lose his man and let him get an easy 2 at the other end when the game is on the line. I hope he grows up.....At least I saw effort out of Howard weak.....just......weak......
