Lin is 21/3/2/(0 TO) in 24 minutes... and leads all rockets in a loss?

Chander is 1-11 and gets 26 min before guys like Garcia and DMo even get 15 min apiece?

I consider myself quite the inexperienced basketball watcher... but this has got to be *poor* coaching? Someone please tell me I'm not losing my mind over here.

...or just a really roundabout way to light a fire under our guys' butts? I don't think so, lol.

Or you know, play the better players more and hope they get it going.

Some coaches are harder on their starters when they terribly and aren't afraid to bring bench players in early. Mchale just isn't one of those players he's one of those players who just likes to stick with the starters.

Parsons has the second longest leash on the team. Mchale will bench Howard quicker than he will bench Parsons.

lin deserves less minutes, the guy took more shots than harden. ball hogs to the next level...... isnt he suppose to be a point guard?

Mchale stuck too long with the starters, especially Parsons. Anyone could tell Parsons was off tonight with the kind of missed shots he had.

if mchale could play the starters 50 minutes, he'd play them 54.

I missed the game. How did Lin play on D? Given that he had zero TO's, shot well, and was productive, the only possible explanation I can think of is maybe he was not playing well defensively? But if he did play good defense, then I am puzzled why he had so little minutes.

I don't know what subzor's problem is, but you might as well call him a troll or a LOH, whatever you want. Same thing anyway.

Yeah this is just absolute bull**** and I'm not even much of a Lin fan. He was only player that kept us in the 2nd quarter with his scoring and passing.

If you only want to play the players playing well, and sit the players playing "poorly", Lin would have never seen the floor the last month.

Players have off nights... they bounce back... if you're rooting for Lin, you should know this.

But do you use this sort of thing to the extent of a loss to a very beatable team?

Parsons has been the most consistent player on this team the entire season. He has had a slump of 2 or 3 games, so I don't know what you're so confused about.

McHale just thinks that Bev is a better player than Jeremy, and so will give him more of a chance. Also, with Jeremy in, Harden's going to get less touches, and Harden IS a better player than Lin, so the first choice is to maybe get Harden going. This is normally the better choice, but in this game...

His D wasn't a problem. Good game by Lin. He was pulled because we were getting blown out and I'm assuming McHale didn't want to leave him out there for meaningless garbage time.
