Kobe is no longer an active NBA player, he's on the wrong side of the 35's and have suffered two major injuries in the past 2 seasons.
Im reading these non reliable sources and one of them said Kobe wanted 2 superstars on the team but they can't get them because of the cap and the money Kobe got.
It's sad how everyone hates Kobe so much just because he owned your team for the better part of a decade. So salty. Don't hate, respect the man for being great.

They need to stop listening to this dude and worry about their future because theyll be in the same situation again in 2 years when hes done if he lasts that long.
And there it is in a nutshell. Hate to be that guy, not really, but kobe will be good if he can come back but not great. I still have a passionate dislike for the Lakers. Also, Wiggins is suppose to be their savior
I think Kobe got at least one more year under his legs if he's paced out like what Spurs is doing with its ageing stars. I want Rockets to beat Lakers with Kobe one more time at full strength. A warrior always tests his strength with the best possible opponent/s. That said, it will be a miracle if Lakers can go full strength once again.
So Kobe wants: 1. Be part of the Lakers future plan. 2. Have veto power on personnel decision ("Give me a call before you trade someone"). 3. Have the power to fire a coach he doesn't like. 4. The Lakers to be a contender next year. Yeah right.
Kobe taking it to another level WOW. Can't wait for all his fans and others to defend him on this one, sit back and enjoy the stupidity.
Well, in his defense, he needs to wear a lot of hats to justify that $30M contract, since his play on the court (if he ever makes it there) sure as hell doesn't. This egomaniac is just desperate to stay in the news.
I personally think his contract extension is fine. I agree that they are under pressure as a big market team to deliver a playoff-competitive product every year. However here is a guy that has been the face of your team for over a decade, brought in multiple championships, and probably generated over a billion in revenue for your franchise. You're not going to pay him some free money? It may not be popular with the public but corporations find ways to reward their long-term employees all the time. don't think it hasn't been calculated; I'm sure still having Kobe jerseys to sell covers his salary, much like Jeremy Lin doesn't need to play at 8mil per year.
Just to play devils advocate, he was a top five player prior to the ruptured achillies and his contract extension isn't even in effect just yet . I think it could end up being the worst but its too early to say that now.
