Thunder is the rocket's kryptonite. No chance of beating them this year.

westbrick is a bone head and will help us with ill advised shots.

Eventually you can be sure westbrick will shoot himself in the foot.. we just need to let him.

double team durant and make westbrick beat us.

Not really all that worried about thunder.

Honestly I am not so concerned about the loss last night. We made too many mistakes on defense and offense, that's all. Fixable things. More curious to see how we do these next two games.

The times we have played OKC have been in a back to back or we went into a offensive slump. I don't think any of those games are truly representative of the offensive skills in our team.

I think the story is different given a best of 7 series, especially considering how we did last year and all of our improvements since then.

The only thing that stops me for getting super hyped about winning a championship this season is our play against the Clippers and OKC. I don't have a lot of faith that we can beat either team in a seven game series with our current roster. That core in OKC has just been together much longer than ours and it shows whenever we play them.

Asik matches up with the Thunder far. Better then Dwight. They shut Dwight down and box him out. Not big O he puts great into the Thunder guards going down low. Against tough centers Dwight folds. I've said it before and I'll say it again.

    I'm glad we lost.

If rockets win this game, they get cocky and complacent. And they don't focus on developing a strategy to beat the thunder.

Now... rockets will stay hungry. They still have something to prove. Will definitely increase their chances of getting to the finals this year, IMO.

The only way to defeat OKC is to slow KD by limiting his touches. We should front him left & right. Get Parson or Hamilton to front him, then another guy to back him in case the ball is lobbed over our front defender. We may not be successful every time, but the less time he touches the ball, the more impatient he gets and he will be less accurate. Easy say than do. But never hurt to try.

People, please know your Rockets history.

    1995.

    Regular season vs. Spurs: swept.

    Post-season vs. Spurs: 4-2

And no bringing up "yes, but we had Hakeem and Drexler"- so, we have Howard and Harden. Any team is beatable in the NBA this year. Most difficult would probably be the Heat and Spurs.

Yes, the Spurs. Don't count them out. It would not surprise me at all for us to lose to the Spurs. Regular season is regular season.

OKC are a big time match up problem for us. We don't want any parts of them come playoff's.

We don't have anybody for Durant and Westbrook's production. The Thunder in each game has neutralized Howard, pretty much took him out in each game.

    Dwights #'s

    1st game 31% FG, 14% FT 9points, 9 rebounds, and 1 block

    2nd game 38% FG, 50% FT, 11points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks

    3rd game 33% FG, 16% FT, 9points, 10 rebounds, and 1 block

We can not compete with the Thunder if one of our Superstars don't show up. They have to match OKC Superstars point production.

Howard has to step his game up period. This is not acceptable good peeps.

Any thing can happen just like a few have already mentioned. The lowly Nuggets(8th seed) beat a sizzling hot Sonic (1 seed) team back in the days. So we can upset them but man D12 has to bring his A GAME.

Thunder got humiliated on national TV. Westbrook played his first game against Bev since the injury.

The Rockets were the Sprockets for 1 1/2 periods roughly. Dwight was in a fog. Shots didn't drop at the rim. Oh yeah, Durant is playing the best all around game of basketball night in and out right now.

Considering we were picked to finish 6th in most polling before the season, I think they have over achieved in almost all areas. Complaining that we don't have a chance to knock off the Thunder shows how far we've come.

    Go Rockets !

their play against the Clippers and OKC are why the Rockets can't win the title this year. Next year they'll have a legit shot though. No substitute for experience and team chemistry. That comes with time....as long as Morey stops shuffling the roster that is.

That's if Dwight gets his **** together and actually not be owned by a rookie and a 40 year old Perkins.

Well, we don't post up DH12 all game against OKC and let him play P'n'R for 36min.

What is your prediction for a 7 game series between the Rockets and OKC?

Before you ask, I have OKC in 6.

Coaches use these games to strategize.

We were cowed in Game 1 of our series last year, then we went small all the way and beat them twice.

Maybe we wait till playoffs, maybe that April rematch with OKC to try out new ways to use Dwight.

The tiny announcement after game 2...

But I do think a change would help Dwight's woes. Heavy PnR with Dwight would turn things around. I have no idea why he seems so hell bent on posting up instead.

I agree somewhat. But I actually think we can beat them, but we play so damn intimidated against them. Harden becomes passive, Howard looks befuddled. We may never overcome this
