I'm continuously shocked at how McClain keeps his job. He is basically wrong on every statement he makes, and then backtracks at the last second.

There's Ben Tate on the top left, underneath Alterraun Verner. I think everyone has kinda expected Tate to be a Brown, so no surprise there.

If he does end up there, I hope he enjoys the "wishy-washy" seasons Cleveland tends to have.

Interesting. If that's in order, that means Verner was their number one and Tate is #2 (who is visiting today I believe)

He's not worth $3 mil. Good run stopper and that's about it. Played well for us last year and was a great add for $1 mil, but 3 is too rich.

Like you I am frustrated though I know I need to be patient. Not much of a bold prediction but: we will sign a starting-caliber Dlineman and a starting caliber olineman in free agency. No way BOB wants two rookie starters on both sides of the line.

3 million? For a backup LB? Affordable in what currency? Pesos?

For Joe Mays?? Seriously?? You'd be willing to pay a run-stopping linebacker who would be a pure depth signing for $3m a year??

Yeah, all of those Texans fans who were cheering every time the Texans missed out on a FA QB didn't realize they were cheering for another year of Schaub LOL

It came from pancakes so hopefully he's wrong as usual. Need to cut this bum, Keo, and Manning.

    A) People should be smart enough to put aside feelings for Schaub and realise he is the best option of veteran QBs. Cassel? Freeman? WEEDEN? No thanks.

    2) There is no reason to cut Schaub right away, it tips our hand with the draft. We should keep all options open until we clear somethings up in the draft, then bye bye to Schaubnado.

iii) I don't really see your point? Are you cheering for Cassel (or whoever) more than Schaub? Or do you not care about the QB situation bc Clowney will solve everything?

Yeah, I was hoping one of those FA QB's would come in and be the stopgap till a rookie was ready rather than have another season of Schaub, but it's too late now so Schaub it is.

Great post. There are a lot of incentives to be patient with the Schaub decision.

The other QBs will suck and Schaub will take you on a inconsistent ride through 3 quarters and half then suck worse than anyone in the league during crunch time to break your heart... Schaub it is. Let's give him another chance to fail we are used to it.

I don't understand what Ben Tate does that is particularly special. I've been trying to figure it out for a while, without much luck. I think his biggest year was mostly on the o line. If you want an injury prone back, Darren McFadden leaves him in his dust on the field, and among all the FA's Legarrette Blount vs Ben Tate? Blount, please, thx.

In Cleveland, Tate is going to be well below average.

Its all about how the contract is structured, how much of that is a bonus and what's the cap figure? I'm just tired of watching everyone get better and we're not doing anything
