Well I have faith in Bill O'Brien's QB analysis ability, so I'd think he'd realize that none of the QB's in this class are more than "meh". You are right though, I could be giving them too much credit, maybe they think that Manziel is the answer and he'll be the first pick in the draft. I have no direct knowledge that would say otherwise, but I'd certainly hope they were smarter than that.
We have a much, Much, MUCH bigger issue if BOB doesn't have a feel for what his QB can handle and adjusts accordingly. You're using an awfully large blanket; I truly doubt BOB will put his (potentially) hand-picked QB in position to fail. You want to talk about a biased city... throw Matt Schaub out there. You'll do far more damage to your franchise with him than you can to a top QB prospect. I will be actively PO'ed if they use a "day one" pick on a QB and don't start him, especially if he's 1-1.
I doubt that too, which is why I don't think he'll throw that QB to the wolves. I think since we failed to land a FA QB that Schaub is the starter next year unless something else changes before then. I don't like it, but any rookie QB from this class will need to sit for at least a year learning before being able to take over. My point is that most Texans fans are incredibly stupid. Throw a rookie out there and he'll certainly fail, when he does the entire city will be against him calling him David Carr 2.0 no matter what.

That's your opinion and not one the NFL shares; at least if recent history is any guide. Can you name the last first round rookie QB that sat a year? Rodgers eight years ago? (And that was a total anomaly; not many teams with entrenched starters, let alone potential Hall of Famers, use first round picks on QBs.) So? You just said they were stupid; why would you run your franchise based on how they're going to react?
Browns also release QB Jason Campbell And...

Before anyone asks, the Texans aren't interested in Brandon Weeden or Jason Campbell. Good ol boy systems are hard to kill unless you can cut the head off the snake. That head is focused more on the rodeo imo.
WTF is this? I thought the June 1st cut meant the cap hit was split evenly between this year and next year?
I guess this loser is stunned then. ****, he'll probably be traded or released.

Texans have been thinking bout keeping Matt Schaub but I'll be stunned if they do.
— John McClain (@McClain_on_NFL) March 6, 2014

Yeah I don't think people realize that we aren't very good. We have so many holes. We have no starting DE opposite watt No NT No ILB next to Cush No passrush...at all; we need an ILB No nickle corner No RT No LG And I'm not even talking about overall depth need, plus QB, TE, Safety, RB.... We've got a lot to do.
