    for real?

so if you trade a player's contract, the cap hit remains with the original team???

how does that make any sense..

This is what would happen if the Cowboys trade Romo; still stuck with his cap hit even if he goes to another team

LOL how about getting the Clowney of 2002 and the Clowney of 2014 to go along with JJ Watt and just use a 3 man rush?

LOL, a 4 man pass rush of Clowney, Watt, Ware, and Peppers would be something out of Madden.

Not sure where the Saints got the money but...

    CB Alterraun Verner to Tampa
S Jairus Byrd to New Orleans(54 million over 6 years with 28 guaranteed)
    RB Toby Gerhart to Jacksonville

This has always been the case. Guaranteed money always stays with the original team.

If you have a player with a high base salary and no signing bonus, then trading them would free up cap space. If it is bonus instead of high base salary, then the bonus stays with the team that trades.

The Texans are not a SB team trying to get the last missing pieces.

There is a thing called a salary cap. Maybe you want to check it out sometime. This is the nfl after all.
