I once boarded a Plane from Ft. Lauderdale to Atlanta on Delta. As we got on the plane, the captain came on and said the pressure system was broken and that we would have to fly the plane at 9000 feet all the way to Atlanta and that it would be a very bumpy ride, but first they had to call the Boeing engineers to make sure it was OK to fly the plane like this. They offered those who didn't want to take the trip to be rebooked on a later flight and about 50% of the people got the hell off the plane. I stayed because I had an important business meeting to attend. Fun times, but we made it safely.

    Cool story, right?

How was the cabin pressure? Typically they recreate a pressure you would have at 7000 feet when cruising at 35K, not 9000. Did feel any difference?

Definitely looks like the legs on the guy on the right are photo shopped (poorly I might add) onto the guy on the left. They're standing in the same tile, with the same shoes, same position, and same pants/bag...super weird, or they could both be wearing the same shoes with dark pants on.

Relax on the security photos. Have you ever reviewed security tape? It's full of split up crap like that (in my limited experience). I don't think any evil conspiracy would launch a photochop *that* horrible as an intentional bit of their nefarious plot, LOL.

It's just a screen cap from a surveillance video, and the scan lines had glitched or something.. the bottom of the two pics is definitely the same on both.

This was picked up by a user of Tomnod crowd searching through satellites. Might be bogus but pretty interesting. To me it looks more like a ship than a plane.

Tomnod servers are currently down...as expected, large traffic volume.

I put my money that these Iranian guys were using stolen passports to get the hell out of the country and escape to Europe. Mentioned it before, it's so damn common. It's only making news now cause of what happened. Everyday people are pulling this off and never get caught.

I could be wrong but that's where my bet is.

Ya, I think most people are on board with that theory. However, there is always the possibility that OTHERS were using fake passports, or that they're involved and we haven't found a connection...yet.

Although I'm inclined to agree with you, they were likely just trying to escape Iran. Especially now that we know one of them was seeking asylum.

That's the thing about our society as a whole these days. So much is going on that we don't have a clue about on a day to day basis. The only time they come about is if something bad happens and they have to link things together.

But then again, if you are not from that part of the world or don't have connections to it then there is no reason for you to wonder sometimes about the inner workings of all the crap that goes on.

Looks like the body of the plane is intact. If that is it maybe there are survivors.

Not sure how long a plane could float, but that sure looks like two boats side by side to me. Maybe it's just that I played too much BATTLESHIP as a kid though. It's so sneaky to put your two-hole ship next to a three-hole ship like that, but I've seen it done.

Exactly. There is no way that is a plane.

Looks more like a four hole next to a two hole to me.

First it looked like terrorist, then mechanical failure, now my suspicion is either hijacking or pilot gone mad. Making a u turn, turning off transponders, and then passing 3 airports where you could land...sounds like someone took measures to go stealth, change course and keep flying.

My question is why did it take the Malaysian Air Force 2 days before they released their radar info. Also this means when the plane changed course and went silent on the radios, both the Malaysian & Thailand Air Force failed to scramble jets to intercept an large unknown aircraft flying toward their territory.

Yeah, this entire event is odd to say the least.
