There is a difference between not playing well in the playoffs and your team not being good enough to advance in the playoffs. CP3 had a great series against the Griz last season but the 2nd most effective player for the Clips was Matt Barnes which is sad.

True, like I said I wouldn't be surprised if Clippers made a run and they should be taken seriously like the other top teams in the league, but they shouldn't be anointed the clear favorite at this point. I feel having Doc Rivers will help them because he is a championship tested coach. I admit they have looked like the better team when they've played the Rox. That being said, I don't think the Clips are unbeatable by any stretch of the imagination. The West is too tough to call right now.

He took the Hornets to a Game 7 in the Western Conference Finals against the Spurs in '07.

That was the semifinals not the Western Conference Finals. CP3 has never been out of the second round.

Words would not be able to describe Donald Sterling winning a championship.

It'd only be a bigger FU to the league if they dug up a zombified David Stern to hand him the trophy.

When it's playoffs time, give them a lil adversity and they'll fold.

Clay Bennett is just as big a scumbag as Sterling. In fact, I bet most owners are. Hard to be a billionaire without some corruption.

Maybe, but they'll still kick the crap out of Houston so you better pray you don't meet them.

We match up poorly against them. Wish we don't have to face them in the playoff.

i think the rockets can beat anyone in the west in 6 games or less, other than the clippers and thunder.

I guess all they needed is DJ playing at another level, especially in defense. His rebounds and especially blocks numbers are tremendous. They always had good offense and now they are pairing it with a good defense.

Clippers were the best NBA team for the 1st half of last season
And Looked good for the playoffs too. How they lost to the GSW in the 1st round in 6 i can't figure out.

With this new-and-improved Blake Griffin, they might be the best team in the entire league. Chris Paul can be a top 3 player and now that Griffin is playing like a top 5-10 player, they are for real. Maybe I overvalue them from seeing them curb-stomp the Rockets so often, but damn, I don't want them in the first round of the playoffs.

It's also scary to remember how great Reddick was playing for them, and how great they've been without him. When he comes back? Geeeeez.

If I had to rank the teams I wouldn't want us to play, the Clippers would be 2nd right after Miami. Beverley handling Paul the way he did last time... and us still losing the game. Man.

I do think that the Clippers are the worst possible matchup for us.

I would rather play the Heat, or the Pacers, or the Thunder, or the Spurs, or anyone else.

Sure, we have defensive studs at PG to guard Chris Paul, and Asik and Dwight to pack the lane against Jordan and Griffin. And sure, they don't really have what I would consider an 'elite' wing defender to put on Harden (Matt Barnes? JJ Redick? Crawford?).

But with out style of play, especially with our ridiculous turnovers, feeds directly into their strength of getting into the open floor and running and getting easy dunks and alley oops and such.
