Biggest problem with OKC-Harden situation (and one conveniently forgotten) was that OKC could've had Harden for less than max. Harden would've played for less than max money to stay in OKC if they commit to him as well. "So here’s Oklahoma City offering Harden $53 million for four years and refusing to include a trade kicker — in other words, Sorry, we have to keep our options open, just in case." http://grantland.com/features/the-harden-disaster/ They also only gave him ONE hour to consider the offer. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--j...him-more-time-to-consider-offer-06561809.html
I'm just surprised at the idiocy of the comments...the massive wall of text, grammatical errors and that colour scheme...
OKC's offer never seemed legit and was most likely meant to save face among fans before trading him. Their mistake was Perk which caused them to make the Harden mistake.
This. Perkins was grossly overvalued. They were forced to trade either Harden or Westbrook. And they traded the wrong guy. (Not saying Westbrook is bad, but Harden is clearly better on hindsight.) I still maintain that keeping Harden as the 6th man subliminally undervalued him. If Harden was the starter and Westbrook came off the bench as the offensive spark, I am sure they would rather trade Westbrook.
Well in retrospect the Harden trade was terrible not because they got Brad Stevens and Lamb (which I will always maintain is good value for Harden at the time), but rather Presti chose the wrong sidekick for KD. Considering how close Harden and KD are and considering how offensively inept OKC's other starters are, you'd think Presti would keep the offensive dynamo over the trigger-happy undersized sg with alpha dog issues (aka Starbury Syndrome). Instead Presti continued his love affair with WB and may have inadvertently paved the way for his dynasty to come crashing down before it even begins.
Yea, a complete heist. I heard he tried to get Bradley Beal and Klay Thompson before reengaging talks with Houston. I'm sure Wash and GS deeply regret turning away Presti.

I don't think we should laugh or gloat over other team's mistakes that benefitted us. I mean there are idiot noobs here that start threads to cry, moan and complain about the littlest thing despite winning. Definitely poor taste and bad mojo karma when we have won absolutely nothing. Morey totally lucked out on Harden plus the fact that a few other teams passed over him when Presti offered him on a platter. About the looks of that other board, there's only one Clutch...appreciate what you have.
I have read some of their threads and posts, it seems most of their fans are kids, you can really tell that they are kids
