    19 games remaining.

12 games are against non-playoff / weak teams:

    Utah
    Philadelphia
    New Orleans x2
    Minnesota x2
    Los Angeles Lakers
    Denver x2
    Cleveland
    Charlotte
    Brooklyn

    7 games against good teams
    San Antonio
    Oklahoma City x2
    Los Angeles Clippers
    Chicago
    Miami
    Toronto

We need 16 wins to hit 60. That means if we sweep the non-competitive teams, we need 4 amongst the good teams above. 4 out 7 and continue our great play without a lapse. Possible - yes - for the first time ever 60 wins for a Houston Rockets team.

This week has 3 of those 7 tough games. So if we can go 2-1, we only need another 2 out of 4 with one of them being Toronto. But the other 3 are SA, OKC, and the Clippers - so it won't be easy.

But it is also very possible :)

Well, Bobcats and Brooklyn are technically playoff teams, although they aren't very good.

Minnesota I would say is competitive...any team coached by Adelman can go off at any time as we know.

I really doubt that's going to happen

    OKC
    SA
    Miami

    Sure losses...

A clippers loss and a fluke one against a bad team are likely.

One game at a time and let the cards fall where they may.
No point in thinking about hypothetical when the reality is we got a big test against OKC tomorrow night.

Brooklyn and Bobcats are 6th and 7th seeds currently in the East

I'll be happy to get to 57. The back end of the schedule is pretty rough.

You're only as good as the next game. Approach the remainder of this season one game at a time, and anything is possible. This team is capable of so much.

    Sure losses?

Nothing is "Sure", fans said we would lose to the pacers, heat and blazers. Yet we beat all those teams. We can win 60 games, this team is GOOD.

If we beat okc, chicago and the cheat then it might be time to break out the we believe posters of lore.

I'd be a bit surprised if any team reaches 60 wins. It's pretty stacked especially in the West.

Good teams don't lose to good teams?

We've owned SA. They know they need a good game against us going into the playoffs.

OKC just lost to a DLeague team. They're going to be fuming.

We just beat miami and they'll be looking for revenge.

Could they win all three? Sure, why not. Its just not very likely, given the circumstances. That chicago game will also be tough.

I would love to get 60 wins but I don't think it's going to happen. Too many games to be won, not enough games left. And I feel like if we push to win 60 games, we will be worn out! So I rather us get the amount of wins to get at least the 3rd seed then rest up and get ready for war!

Absolutely true. But the Rockets seem to be getting better and tougher with each game. Will they go 3-0 against OKC, CHI and MIA? Probably not. But would I place a bet that they go 2-1 or better? With the way they are playing, sure.

But you said they were "Sure Losses".

Last time i checked there is no such thing as a "Sure Loss" in the NBA. See the laker game yesterday for proof.

The fact that even after our recent success there are fans like you still unsure about our team is troubling. Sure they may not win all three games, but they sure as hell aren't losing all 3.

I may be a homer but i have more faith in my team to pull out tough wins after yesterday's unlikely win. I'm gonna enjoy this ride and avoid pessimism. That is why i watch sports after all..

Forget 60, it's just a number, winning the division is more important, though reaching one might get you the other.

59 wins would good enough for best season in franchise history. I'd be happy with that. Hell, even getting 58 would match our 93-94 season. I really don't care about regular season wins that much. Our 46-36 season of 94-95 was tied with our best season in my book. All I care about is 16 playoff wins.
