    It has been clear since last season that Harden is a superstar on offense. The question has always been: Does his defense bring him back to only star level.

    What's great is that during this incredible recent stretch he's also been playing some pretty decent defense.

    Did skip also say that JODIE MEEKS can guard WESTBOOK? Where is the logic with him? Years ago I used to like him and think he made some good points but ever since he has been horribly incorrect on about everything.

    His defense has always been there. The question is one of motivation. Defense is one part ability and two parts drive. He didn't seem to feel the urgency earlier in the season, but now that switch seems to be flipped.

    Meshing with Howard also probably plays a large part in it, and generally gelling as a team. But yeah, Harden is capable of fairly good defense - when he tries.

    Het him to try all the time and this will be one happy team.
