This is what struck me. LOL. There's a video in the game thread where he goes on whining about it for like 3 minutes and is then like, whatever, I don't even care!
If you're the defensive specialist and people don't hate your guts, then you're doing something wrong. I'm loving Bev more every day now.
Beverly is getting into the opposing pg heads and they hate it! Hes all hustle and heart, that's hardin to find in the nba these days
He can't handle Beverly's truth, cross him off the list. Beverly can get into the mind and shut down any perimeter player on the nba.
I hope to see him take this to the next level in the playoffs. Show up a few days before the games, follow the opposing PG around the city. Cut him off in traffic, knock the coffee out of their hand at Starbucks, whatever it takes.
Is it irritating? You bet. That's the reason. Non-stop pressure and forcing you into mistakes and no easy baskets. Antics? No. I call it Tactics!
Doesn't appreciate good perimeter defenders apparently. I love Bev's tenacity and don't want to ever see that level of intensity dwindle.
Good that PB gets into his mind. Bruce Bowen and Tony Allen irritate offensive players, and that's what good defensive players do. PB is not there yet, and he needs to calm down himself sometimes. Last time we had a tough-minded player in RR, we started to win in playoffs.
Nah, you want Westbrook to have the ball and shoot. That is the only way to stop Durant. If Bev is guarding him, he won't shoot and hog the ball as much because he will realize it is pointless. That or he'll get hurt when he lazily calls a time out. If that happens, we are really f**ked. We'll see on Tuesday. Bev is going to shutdown Westbrook and Durant will go off and the Rockets will lose. If Westbrook scores 24+, the Rockets win.
Funny thing is that Lillard was actually flopping this game too. So he shouldn't act so high and mighty about the "antics". Has he seen his horrible perimeter defense? The only questionable play from Bev last night was when Lillard fouled Bev on a jump shot which wasn't a foul at all but even them that was on the refs to call. The one that fouled Lillard out might have been a little exaggerated but Bev's nose is broken and getting hit there really hurts.
I get where Lillard is coming from. I hated playing against guys like that. They are all over you the whole time and you can't relax for 1 second. It's very frustrating. But I also respect that. It's hard-nosed defense. As an offensive player it's annoying because you don't even have room to breathe.
