I think anyone that has supported the club for more than five minutes would know what the true standard of a Rockets legend is. We have so many players that have done so many amazing things. The legends stepped up when it really mattered.

We're not the f***ing Kings or Magic or Clippers....we are the Rockets. We don't need to play make believe that we have legends because of a few good regular season games....we have true champions, players that stepped up in the clutch, players that dominated the best in the world on the biggest stage.

Give me 1 point in the final minutes of a finals game over anything T Mac did!

So TMAC didn't step up in the clutch. All because his teams didn't get past the 1st round doesn't mean he didn't step up. Go check his numbers in the playoffs. His teammates didn't step up.

Yao doesn't get stripped twice in crunch time by Boozer. Chuck Hayes and Yao box out and get that crucial rebound. Luther Head Battier and Alston hit those wide open 3's. Better yet Chuck Hayes make those point blank lay ups. We are singing a different song around here.

But y'all great Rockets fans seems to forget those factors of the game.

    Bwhahaha too darn funny

like him or not, he did some incredible things for my team.

13 in 33 is remarkable just by itself and couple that with a gravity sucking bradley rodeo ride dunk and yeah, that guy is legend.

It's cool to see him there at games. Let's you know where his loyalties lie.

Regardless of everything that happened, he gets props for that in my book.

I believe the question on this thread is he in the same class as dream and Rudy in terms of rockets legends?
Both Rudy and dream spent almost two decades or more with the team and showed Leadership ability that lead the rockets to greatness.
It's not a coincidence he never led the rockets to anything.
It's not bad luck or bad teammates, it's not getting the job done and quitting.

Vince carter? Yao Ming? Those are bad teammates?

The year after tmac leaves Toronto, Toronto advances in the playoffs

The year he awols the rockets, Ron and Yao advance and got so far is to push Kobe and the lakers to seven games.

    What happens after that?

    Tmac Wants to leave .

I don't know if he loves the rockets or just wants his named mentioned on TV again.

I know Hakeem doesn't care about that. I know for sure Hakeem loves Houston.

Aside from Obsessed, this is Mariah's other song that accurately describes you:

now that the team is doing good again, I can forget tmac on how he quit on the team and how he left. He did put it all in the playoffs against Utah and Dallas. Just unfortunate, we were cheated out of at least one game in Dallas and couldn't win game 7 in either series.

If compared to T-Mac, yes. Moochie Norris is more of a Rockets "legend" than McGrady.

Your a hater and are too emotional to have any credibility in talking about Tmac. First off, regardless of how he left, he was incredible in those playoff series against Dallas & Utah. Did you watch the series? I certainly did. Tmac did everything possible, even guarded Dirk. We lost both of those series due other reasons, not Tmac. Stop trying to rewrite history because you personally hate the guy. His biggest downfall was injuries, but so was Yao's. Tmac for the most part performed at a very high level while he was here.

It's mind boggling o me that basketball was his second love, and he was able to dominate. Imagine if he put in the work like Kobe, that dude could easily go down as one of the greatest.
