I am glad we're getting more L-U-V on national TV, but I will say this: the score scrolled at the bottom of the screen on ESPN after the game; then they showed how many points LeBron and Wade scored; and that's it. No Harden, no Howard, nothing. Part of the reason I despise our U.S. media is how they control and present information, and that includes the sports networks. Hell, look at ABC. Such a ratings w**** that all their games are Lakers (big time suck), Heat (soooooo tiresome), Bulls (scrappy but dull), Knicks (MAJOR suck), maaaaaaaaaybe the Clippers, and whomever they're playing against. I think ABC might notice better ratings if they had actually scheduled Teams That Don't Suck.
This just pisses me off. I grew up watching NBA on NBC on Sunday afternoon. So many memories of Jordan, Miller, Dream, Barkley, Ewing etc... Going at each other. And now ABC is just wasting away the opportunity to revive Sunday afternoon basketball with these pathetic match ups. At least we'll get Rox vs Heat this coming Sunday.
Not sure I can but here's something in mean time maybe you hadn't seen: http://espn.go.com/nba/powerrankings
I think they give Harden a lot of credit but dismiss The Rockets as a team. I look forward to hearing what they have to say today. First Take lumped in Rockets/Harden stuff with the loss of OKC. Rockets deserve their own segment after wins against 3 of the top teams in the NBA.
I don't put much stock in the national media's opinions.....but I would be lying if I said I dont enjoy the recognition lately. Anyway, thanks for the link
Stephen A. was slobbering all over The Beard this morning. The love is nice, but like Dwight said, this team must stay humble and hungry.
It feels weird how everyday for these Rockets, there is a new challenge to overcome, LBJ says Houston beat him because he was tired, Orlando trap game, Pacers best record in the league, everyone saying the Blazers are better than the Rockets. The next challenge, even the BEST teams eventually lose, especially after they start to get love from the Media, can the Rockets ignore everything and come with the fire and passion it will take to win tomorrow?
Rockets getting major love in this week's Power Rankings by Stein. Look where they are! ))) http://espn.go.com/nba/powerrankings
heh, Rockets couldn't even crack the TOP 10 Plays of 03/09. I mean... Harden hit a 3 with 8 secs left to tie the game/send it into overtime and no love.
Oh man, usually I'm not a fan of First Take, but Steven A is absolutely killing me. "James Harden...*Long Pause*....He's a bad man. No no, James Harden....is a bad...bad man. I apologize to Mr. James Harden, He's not a star...he's a super star." "If I was the billion dollar owner for the Thunder I would be sitting there shaking my head saying "Da**....what was I thinking..." Nice to get some love....
I don't know - the highlights of the Heat game after Lebron's 61 pt performance where almost entirely about the Heat. They almost showed more Heat misses than Rocket makes...
