He deserves to be in the conversation, but that's about it. ...and I'm fine with that. We have a chance to legitimately contend this year. That's all that matters. Getting your name on some list or Wikipedia page is secondary (and trivial).
Absolutely!!! He is more clutch than Lebron. If they beat OKC tomorrow and Harden is a factor with 30+ points then it's on.
if Harden can carry us over OKC this Tuesday, he needs strong consideration. but right now, he is correctly ranked at 4th in the MVP race.
By the end of the season someone should make a compilation of clutch highlights for Harden. He has been absolutely incredible in close games.
It's Lebron or Durant. I love Harden and haven't seen a player that clutch since T-Mac but he is not MVP. And chanting MVP at the game by the red rowdies is beyond dumb.
Im pretty OK with him being 4th. I think its fair considering the way Blake Griffin has played. Maybe Harden will move up to #3 but that would be it. MVP is a 2-man race between Lebron and Durant, because those guys have been on a tear since game 1 while Harden has just now (past couple of months) started playing at the same level as those guys.
I like it too....but lets not forget that First Take is a joke of a show with three jokes of people on it.
Realistic is what it is. Durant and Lebron have been playing like mvps the entire season. And I don't like either teams. I'm bias towards the rockets but I'm not delusional. Top 5 player in the league. Yes. One of the best leaders and clutch player. Yep. Played the entire season better than Durant or Lebron. No.
There are only 2 candidates for MVP, and they are so far ahead of everyone else, they should just leave 3rd place vacant.
Durants going to get the MVP. That's pretty much it. I don't think anyone else has much of a chance unless OKC goes on some terrible losing streak.
Harden is playing out of his mind with a full roster. KD Lang has played out of his mind with westbrook OUT. With westbrook in kd is more like miss lang fo sho. Compare the teams recent games - durant getting crushed by the 5 win fakers - f'n gmafb. This is a 'what have u done 4 me lately' league. Lebron is now a goofy brick-chucker whose team is a factory of sadness lately. Harden is IT right now. U r a downer. Just own it for gods sake. Some one rep me k. who's with me?
I think the only player more clutch (at this point in time) is Durant. But even then... Right now I think if there were one player I would put my faith in when the game is on the line, I would take the Beard.
Historically, the MVP is only given to a player who's team has gotten past the first round. The league does not want to embarrass themselves so they only announce it after the first round. It's not fair but that is how it is.
Considering Durant scores 40 point games on. A near daily basis I doubt harden could be MVP. Obviously harden is doing more then just stats we'll he is the only player with mk to get 41 points 10 rebounds six assist six steals
