Stern retires the same way Putin reaches his term limits.

The Rockets are 5.5 point favorites.

Not going to imply anything, I will say that there has been an unusually high number of dodgy calls/no-calls.

And yah, that Lin no-call and offensive foul on Jordan Hamilton were truly atrocious in terms of officiating. Guess all we can hope for is that the Rockets come out and play really high level ball or that the calls even out in the second half.

Though to be honest, at this point I'm not very hopeful. It's hard for a team to stay motivated and in rhythm when you feel like you're being completely shafted.

This has got to be the worst refereed game I've seen in a long time. I only wish this was an ABC/ESPN game so there would be accountability for how bad the refs have been.

Between the bogus offensive foul on Jordan Hamilton, the resulting bogus tech on coach McHale, the missed shot clock violation that resulted in 3 Portland points, the blatantly missed foul by Mathews to end the half, and the two quick fouls to take out Howard in the opening minutes of the game we have totally been getting screwed this game.

This Portland team can't touch us in a fair fight. I hope we play them at some point in the playoffs.

This is looking like one of those games. Rockets don't have their legs in em. Lots of the jumpshots have been short. And and bad officiating, and they are down.

It's pretty obvious refs have been bought off. There's too much money riding on this game for them (the sports betting bookies) for them to leave it to chance.

This is the game I wish we were on abc/ESPN with JVG. No doubt he would have no problem calling out the refs.

...and 10 offensive rebounds for Portland.

    1-13 from three(7.7%)

    3 total assist

    6 turnovers

    38.5% from the field

and I guess those refs too? Heh.

Oops, almost forgot: Harden 2/11 (12 points); Howard with one rebound

The ref's have come out poorly this game. Too many careless calls at the start, missed opportunities in the 2nd qtr and there calls are just not going right. Really hope they can turn it around the next half. I don't think these ref's are that tired, did they play b2b or something?

Don't blame the refs... The Rockets simply are not playing well. Houston has gotten to the line significantly more tonight, but they are giving up a lot of offensive rebounds (as usual) and are not shooting well at all. Sure, the reffing has not been great, but there are several other problems that are directly because of poor play tonight. Houston should be happy to be within 10 points right now.

I could tell this game was rigged halfway into the first.... Ridiculous and circumstances help since not a nationally televised game.

With OKC losing also, this is a big game. If they can beat Portland and then beat OKC they would be right in the thick of things. I don't see them beating MIA and OKC, so they really need to win one of those.
