To take it a step further, the Texans' defense gave up 29 passing TD's and 11 rushing TD's while the Ravens defense gave up 25 and 7.....that has nothing to do with pick 6's.
After a rough start with you I have mostly shown respect. But I have to say this is one of your more stupid assessments.
This never really matters in my opinion. Everyone expects another level of competition when they enter the league. What matters is what team he goes to and how they go about helping him adjust. People throw that around as if it is a deal breaker for future progress.
1. I don't think you have any idea of what actually goes on during a football play until the end result, unlike you, I have actually played football and I played qb and I played qb in a pro style system. Only very qbs who have a innate understanding of the defenses they play against and their offense can throw to a spot or in better terms "throw a receiver open" 2. Bridgewater makes very good decisions so you naturaly perceive the offense that he plays in to be risk averse, same garbage was being said about Manning. So good that it looks too easy. 3. Bortles did well but the players around him did better. Storm Johnson is a beast and they have a very good wr corps with size and speed everywhere
Fair is fair, I think you are really undervaluing Flacco though I would take him in a heartbeart, I would trade the first for him
Says the guy who completely ignores the stats when we are talking about his boy. What was it, 3 1/2 sacks?
Yes because that's the only stat that counts right? Nothing like a sack count to determine how a player performs which is why we should trade JJ Watt for Robert Mathis right?
Yes, and there is a difference between one "stat" and "stats". There's a reason I listed several when comparing Flacco to the Texans QB's and not just one. Basing your judgement of a player off of one stat, any one stat, is moronic.
When talking about a qb, yes. To me a speed rushers should have more than 3 1/2 sacks. There are other important stats, but to me that is the most important.
1. I don't even think you know what a "pro style" offense is. And the reason I say that because of every big play you post of Teddy's (like the last one) he's in a spread type system. 2. The only knock on Manning when he was coming out is that he couldn't win the big game and he still has that knock going for him. 3. Now you're trying to make the excuse that Blake had the better offensive players but besides the running backs Blake had a bunch of ball droppers in his receiving core. Even in the Rutgers game when he had a 96 QBR his receiver dropped a TD pass. Teddy is excellent in the offense he runs and makes the right plays but his body of work isn't better than Blake's. Especially considering the fact that Teddy has the top defense in the nation backing him up.
He's not a speed rusher, in fact, they gave him 2 gap responsibilities a lot of the time because he was such a beast against the run. Sure he has the ability to be a speed rusher, but he's a lot more than that. A guy like Barr is a speed rusher.
WoW. It was 3 1/2 sacks....??? I thought it was just 3. Well that's a guy who deserves to be drafted #1 overall...
And how would the Texans use him?. Part of the reason I'm heading towards the direction of trading down, getting Manziel, Bridgewater, Mack, Barr or a tackle.
1. Wait what???? So whatever big play that happens in NFL is in the spread system???? Now are you are just getting stupid 2. Manning had a good-great arm, not elite and people thought his ceiling was relatively low 3. I saw poor ball placement more than I saw dropped passes His body of work isn't better than Blake's???? Are you on crack?????
Now you have gone to pimping Bortles, you realized Manziel was a failure so you hop on the next gravy train out hahahaha
As a pass rusher and run stopper opposite JJ Watt, basically the JJ Watt of the other side of the ball. Technically as an OLB in base packages then as a DE in nickel and dime packages.
I didn't start breaking down Blake's tape until a week before the combine. He's the best out this bunch of rag tags quarterbacks. I still like Johnny. But I wouldn't draft none of these dudes #1. I would rather they draft Sammy Watkins are trade back. But I'm on the anybody but Clowney bandwagon at this point.
