Oh well. I don't hate Jeremy Lin because he has so many insane fans. I don't hate politicians simply because they have so many insane fans. Well, maybe I do hate Kobe a bit because of his fans. But, there are plenty more intellectual ways to form an opinion of someone.
I like Lin, I met him around this time last year for his movie. As for the topic, as I mentioned if seating was based on rockets accomplishment , tmac would be sitting on top of reliant stadium instead of front row with hakeem
Another fact is that the vast majority of people have already stopped caring (if they ever did) about McGrady's final few months with the Rockets. He gets standing ovations and sits next to Dream and Les. And Clyde Drexler loves him. Fact. It was cool how many people with affiliation to the rockets were there last night. Dream, Clyde, Tmac, JVG. Awesome.
Physically it will be very hard for Harden to come close but mentally he should be better. Physical specimen guards like Mike, Lebron and our guy are rare.
Deal with it, guys. Les is still close with McGrady. His beef back then was with his condition and fitness trainer, Adelman and probably Morey but I think he and Les were tight.
He probably would not classify for Tier 1 legend status but he was paid and treated like a superstar and above Yao Ming the first two years he was here. He is probably second tier.
T Mac had "Legendary" moments with the Rockets? Really? Mario Elie would laugh his ar$e off reading something like that!
He did. And those of you trying to rewrite history are waging a losing battle. Literally no one will care in a few more years. Hardly anyone even cares now. Kids will watch YouTube highlights of McGrady in Houston. They'll be in awe of 13 in 35 and the Rockets 22 game win streak and be like "hey I want to be like T-Mac. That guy was a great player." Kind of like that one guy....Kevin Durant.
Any kid would want to be t mac. Play about 7 games in the playoffs then go on vacation . Get paid max salary. if the team does bad you blame everybody else. Sweet gig
To be fair yes but kids will look to his Orlando days where he had some extremely strong years with a bad team. He had 'strong moments' with Houston but in Orlando he played like out of this world for most of his time there.
Durant has led a team to the NBA Finals. T Mac didn't lead a team anywhere. You're right though, no one will care about a player whose big moment was a statistical anomaly when he never even come close to leading any team he played for to any sort of success.
Exactly. Do it when it really counts. Some of the people on here are off their heads comparing this career long underachiever to players that turned up and played their very bast basketball when it counts.
