It was then resurrected when he airballed a layup a couple games ago. I guess his slumps and airballs come together.

Jeremy Lin is overpaid, overrated, and over-hyped. That much is obvious. If anyone can't see that (which the rest of the NBA can) then you're lying to yourself. I wish Houston could work out a deal where they could send Lin plus fillers to Milwaukee for Brandon Knight. Now he would be an excellent combo guard coming off the bench as a 6th man for a team with championship aspirations. Lin will be gone eventually though.

a lot of that good play was in garbage time but thats what he needed to get his confidence going. Hopefully he'll bring it vs the blazers. If this team is going to go deep in the playoffs they will need a reliable bench and that starts with Lin.

If we are talking about $15M Jeremy Lin, then yes he definitely is. If we are referring to the $8.3M Jeremy Lin, then that is debatable. Honestly, Lin is not nearly as bad as he has looked during his slump. That is why it is called a slump. On average, Lin is a capable starting PG. I doubt he will ever be Linsanity again, but He is still a 15/5 capable PG which puts him in the average to above-average range. If Lin has broken free of his slump by playoffs time, we would be huge fools if we didn't think that would greatly help.

Not at all. We have the best record in 2014, the team is playing great. We beat Indiana and Miami. But yet some are still harping on Lin, our 6th man, a bench player. He hasn't been playing well while trying to play thru back pain, but some want to hold him to a standard as if he's a starter or our go to guy......?

It seems like trolling Lin has become a obsession for some. I think some really don't have anything important going on in their life than debate the stupidest crap. Lin is streaky.... He's also a good Guy that works hard. I hope he continues to play well and so do the Rockets.

are you kidding? Brandon Knight or Lin+fillers? What's Brandon Knight's salary?
regardless the salary match, I would not change Lin for Brandon Knight.

It does get very irritating when the whole Lin debate seeps into every other thread in the GARM. Clicking on a Harden-related thread topic and getting pages of Beverley-Lin arguments is not fun.

But regardless, Lin's value and ability is a valid point of discussion IMO because he plays such a major role. He's not only the 6th man but also the team's primary - and pretty much only - ball handler on the second unit. Come postseason, he'll be relied on generate offense off the bench whenever the first unit struggles, and he'll have to get guys like DMo, Hamilton, and Asik involved. His ball-handling and ability to set up the second-unit players will be crucial.

Not really. If you actually read through the thread rather than come in here to say a piece, you'll find people were mostly complaining that Lin was playing outright badly for the last, what, 70 pages? That's Lin was outright bad, not just starter bad.

Gee, I sure hope I'm not part of the some you're talking about.

Look if Lin were starting and playing 32 minutes per game he would average numbers in the Comparable to other t. If he were on a different team which encouraged him to shoot 15 times a game he'

You are the epitome of "that some". If you look up the definition of "that some" there is a big fat picture of your face.

    ......he'd probably average 18-20 pts a game.

For Houston, Lin has already added value in this regular season as the te would be 6 or 7 games worse in the loss column but for his performances in relief if Harden and Beverley.

In the playoffs he will a key to winning playoff series because his scoring can offset that of opposing PGs.

Don't be dense. No one expected him to produce at that level with only ~20min/game. However, it was entirely realistic to expect him to come out and play like a guy CAPABLE of triple doubles off the bench.

Instead, he played like it was summer league.

Lin and Knight are the same height. Knight is more versatile, consistent, and continues to improve.

Oh I read thru this thread and every other thread. I just don't feel the need to post at every whim or mood change. But really over 350 pages of the same garbage and your sure to skip a few pages. And yes if your obsessed with Lin and you seem to be, I am definitely talking about you.

Ok, then let me kindly correct you and say I'm not. At least, not more so than any other Rocket. It just so happens Lin is a hot topic. I don't know what you find bad about my posts but I've been putting up reasonable arguments, mostly, so I seriously suspect something's wrong with your reading comprehension. And do grow a spine and just call me out next time.
