I thought the gesture meant he needs a bigger basket.

dwight had always been supportive of Omer. Watch previous games. Dwight is sometimes the only one that jumps off the bench when Omer does something good.

Yeah Asik could get mad at that and remain a stiff who demanded a trade twice this year and still might this summer .. OR....

He could lighten the F UP and be greatful he wasn't traded to a ATL or Utah or any other crappy team out there and that he is on the HOTTEST team in the NBA with a very good chance of going deep deep into the playoffs...it's building team chemistry believe it or not. They all can have a little fun when the game is over!!!!

From my understanding, they weren't making fun of Omer. Toward the end of the game they did the "Big O". Lin, Parsons, Howard, and a few others were doing it. They all cheered when he made the free throw..

Even Asik laughed after that FT -- as did my whole section. Breaking: funny things are funny.

As previously mentioned, that's O for Omer, he's not making fun of him or gesturing for a bigger basket.

Even if he was, it's DWIGHT HOWARD. There isn't a single person in the world who would get mad at free-throw clowning by Dwight Howard. It would be self-deprecation first and foremost and everyone would know it.

It's a moot point though, he was going O for Omer.

I was there and saw him go behind Bev to start laughing but him along with the rest of the team was supporting him by doing the O. They were having fun and the bench kept jumping up and down every time anybody did something great. One of the biggest times was when Omer got that block that led to a Hamilton three. Though the bench was going to just run into the stands and start dancing. There was no hate and even if Omer is still not happy being a back-up, I have never seen Dwight be anything but supportive. And the reaction from Omer was funny. He was like, Jesus wtf hands. Love the team chemistry. There is nothing negative about this situation.

What the hell! I have never seen that clip. How is that even possible?

Still favorite is Chuck. They always laughed at him. Mostly it was his own team mates.

    Right
Props to Asik's FT improvement (.632%), but that was one of the worst ever

The ref stopped him while he was shooting. It wasn't actually a botched free throw.

i think i can relate to dwight, i am also an easy to laugh for person. i tend to do this too, but I'm in no way disrespecting. When I saw it on TV, my reaction was a wide-wide grin, if I have seen it live, with the atmosphere, i might be laughing out loud.. the only downside is, people may misinterpret is :(

Yea Dwight and the guys were definitely supporting Omer and not knocking him. You could read Dwight's lips saying "Big O" when he was making the gesture. It's good to see Omer smiling and laughing again. Hope he can be happy for the rest of his time in Houston and commit to helping the Rockets win a championship.
