Yup. Lot of mooslims in that area. When I read about it last night, I figured people would be thinking mooslims.



Seriously though, I'll lean toward accident. No rush into getting into political huff and puff about it.

 

The Chinese economic growth story is beginning to slow. Their credit markets are in a very shaky position, made worse by an extensive shadow banking system in China that is unregulated. China had its first corporate bond default yesterday (Chaori Solar), spooking their markets. European growth has stagnated for years. Government stimulus and loose monetary policy have inflated stock prices but not spurred economic growth. What is the best way to spur economic growth? War. It appears at this stage that the Ukraine/Russia conflict will not produce a ground war. China has sided with Russia in that conflict. Would an attack on China (crashing a plane into a Chinese population center) or a plane bombing be enough to rally the Chinese people to war against the perpetrator? Maybe. Was this MH370's intended purpose? I don't know, but it's not off the table at this point. More to come.

FYI... 777s are very safe airplanes. I believe the first fatal crash involving one was the one last year in San Francisco which, in that case, was pilot error.

 

But on a serious note .. I hope nothing huge happen & if it did .. hopefully many people get out alive

 

How can someone get on a plane with old, stolen passports?

 

I scoffed at the conspiracy theories at first, but it's looking really odd for sure. No discernible distress signal at all from the pilots, and no signs of wreckage yet.

We'll see.

 

The news medias in Asia now are saying that there were at least four passenger who got onto the plane with a stolen passport.
