Last time I checked, almost every single big-time prospect in any of the major sports have endorsement deals coming into the league. Also, I'm pretty sure this is exactly what agents are for. God forbid the kid looks out for his future.
This should have no impact on whether the Texans draft Manziel, but if they do draft him, their first game of the season would be the highlight of week one. He wouldn't just put Houston on the map, he'd brand Houston on the map. I don't care if Uncle Bob denies this or not, you just know it's something he's thinking about.
Do the best you can by not falling of that Clooney jock strap you're riding so hard... Don't want you to hurt yourself.
You have the right to your own opinion, which from what I gather on this board is not much higher than that of a troll.
Give it a year or two and we'll re-visit this and see if you still think that Manziel is "light years" ahead of Tebow. IMO both are similar because they don't have a game that translates to the NFL. Tebow was a bust, Manziel will be a bust.
VY and Tebow were clearly not NFL QB's. Anyone could see that. Manziel actually has the arm strength and precision to succeed. Sanchez was highly touted, had all the tools - just came out a bit too early for everyone to jump on his bandwagon. He'll still get another shot to start somewhere at some point.
Tebow did exactly that, he made the Broncos the most talked about team in the NFL, but the Broncos placed Championships over drama, and Tebow was replaced with Manning, and no one doubts that decision.
Tebow took them to the playoffs. That really happened. Of course if you had the chance to draft one of the best QBs of a generation you don't pass that up.
That would still be picking him too high, however, there's always at least one stupid team that will draft a guy WAY too high, I hope it's the Cowboys.
