March Madness>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>NBA regular season I'm sorry that you went to a school with a bad basketball team. Actually, maybe I'm not. Those tend to be the better schools that the major state universities that tend to have the best teams . But seriously, give March Madness a shot. Make yourself a bracket. Hell put $10 down on it. Then come back and tell me that college basketball's playoff system isn't one of the best phenomena in all of sports.
I truly believe that we can beat anyone on any given day...never underestimate the heart of a champion. And for those that keep telling me that we have no chance to beat OKC or Miami, if that's the case why do you bother watching?
To the anonymous person who repped me (Thanks), but left this dumb comment: "Reality check. @OKC and @Miami are not 50/50. Keep it real please." What say you now? We beat the Heat & have a great shot at beating OKC as they try & work Westbrook back into the equation. But you were right, OKC & MIA aren't 50/50, I shouldn't have doubted my beloved Rockets...OKC & MIA aren't 50/50, they are Wins!!! Eat the Head!
We have a real good shot to go unbeaten the rest of this month, obviously the NBA doesn't usually work out that way but the only back to back we have is going to Utah so that should be good for us. The players are confident and know they can hang with anybody, if they can fine tune their game a bit we will be in fantastic shape going into the playoffs!
Unbeaten? Have you seen their schedule for the next 5 games, especially next week? If they make it out of March with only 3 losses, we should all be thrilled. BTW, that B2B with Utah shouldn't be too bad. It's a home game, Utah sucks, and if I'm not mistaken, the game against Miami the day before is an afternoon start. So they'll be back in H-Town by the evening and will be able to get a full night's rest in their own beds.
Hey, you know what, not many back to backs. Tough schedule, but less back to backs will help -- even though the Rockets have been pretty good in back to backs (except against the Clippers and OKC). Also, poll should be updated to respect the recent improvement in Terrence Jones.
why can't they be a unbeaten? We can win every night, against anybody, sure the schedule is tough but the guys are focused and they want to show everybody they are legit. If they can swing Indiana, Portland, OKC, Chicago and Miami twice in about a weeks time that would send a message to the NBA. Dwight talked about this early in the season, he wanted them to try to get to know each other the first half of the season and then come out hitting on all cylinders after the All Star break. So far everything is coming together much faster than I thought. plus since we don't have a bunch of back to backs and we are healthy we should have advantages in a lot of those games.
We dont have a "Real good shot". Nobody has a real good shot to just put together a 10 game winning streak. Especially with our next 4 games.
Hey, I'd love for the Rockets to pull off an unbeaten March. But c'mon. The odds of them winning in OKC, Chicago, and Miami are pretty slim.
Accept Utah already beat them not too long ago .... Damn I'd love to have that one and the Philly loss back. They'd be one game back of SA with a head to head meeting looming.
Yeah, the Philly loss stings. Especially since we had that won(and without Harden I might add) but gave it away by deliberately not fouling late. But maybe they've learned from those mistakes.
