LOL, I'm sure you guys would manage. Someone would take my place just like happened at BRB when I left there.

They have the same players as Wade's first year with the team. I think the right system may fix a lot of our problems.

Exactly... NFL makes a ton of money via draft coverage. They need to keep it fresh and exciting.

We'll see how it plays out.

LOL, I'm not a troll, and I don't want things getting heated to the point where threads start getting shut down like it did at the first Bridgewater thread (which I had nothing to do with by the way). I'm not going away, I just think that pointing out flaws in Teddy Bridgewater as a prospect right now would be like poking a bruise given the news that the Texans are likely to sign Cassell which would pretty much eliminate the possibility of drafting a QB first overall.

That's true, but even with those guys, we were overly reliant on the blitz and when teams adjusted to the fact that we were ALWAYS sending an extra guy, they tore us up (when they had a QB good enough to do so). Crennel isn't that big on blitzing, so we'll REALLY need to be able to get pressure rushing 4.

The only thing about your posting style that bugs me is your persistence that Bridgewater will be "chit" in the pros. And everyone else's acceptance that Clowney will be good even while having the work ethic flags.

That's fair, but I just don't see them being comparable talent, wish I did because it would mean that there was a QB worth the first overall pick IMO.

Who's big boards are you talking about....? NFL teams or guys like Todd's big board...??? Because NFL teams don't usually announce their big boards to the public.

They aren't comparable talents. Clowney is equivalent to Luck on a prospect level.

With this team and roster(star players on the offensive side of the ball are getting up there in age), Bridgewater might be the best fit of all.

If the Texans are big on Bortles, than he might be had at 2.1.

The fact that the Texans are going to Jimmy G's pro day tells me that they are drafting Clowney number one most likely. Wouldn't be a bad pick whatsoever.

If Jimmy G falls to the second and the Texans get him and Clowney, I'd be happy even though it would mean a year of Matt Cassell at QB. I think with a year of learning the system and BOB coaching him up, Jimmy G could end up being a pretty good option.

You laughed at me when I brought up Jimmy in the old Teddy thread months ago. You and a bunch of others. A lot of the .com big boards like WalterFootball had him ranked #17 amongst quarterbacks at the time I started bringing him up... What a difference a couple of months make.

Bobby even previously posted something along the lines of drafting Jimmy would be an idiotic idea in any round and now he's cool with it... Lol..

So you should be careful when you accuse others of not having any knowledge ;)

True. I remember you bringing him up. But at the time, you were suggesting he was the best in the draft.

No... I said he's possibly just as good as any quarterback in this draft and can be had in a later round instead of reaching for one with the #1 overall pick. But my point stands the same Mr Tmac.

Excuse me. I was wrong then(see what I did there, you can learn from that). I still don't think you are reaching for Bridge at number one. But that is just my opinion.

Dude you're wrong A LOT so no problem...

And no... If O'Brien feels that Teddy, Johnny, or my new favorite quarterback (in this draft) Blake is the guy he wants than you're right _ it's not a reach. This draft is so full of talent in the 2nd round and beyond the Texans can do whatever with that #1 pick rather it's quarterback, defensive player, offensive lineman, or receiver.

Wrong a lot? The draft hasn't happened hot shot.

And I would be shocked if it weren't Teddy as the QB or Clowney as the BPA. Back under your bridge troll.

I could be wrong, but I think the ONLY QB I've said that it would be "idiotic" to draft in any round was Manziel. I don't remember saying that about any other QB. I could have said that drafting Jimmy G as the first pick would be "idiotic" though.

I also don't think Manziel is worth a 1st. I think he will go in the second round.
McStray has him going #4 in the first round.
